To stake a knife into his very own heart, just for the sake of it.

[break][break] He doesn't notice the way that Eris Halla seems to have trouble taking the cone; he's focused on his own treat, licking the sides of it and tasting the salty-sweet flavor. "Hm? I suppose."

[break][break] His head tilts again, and then directed to the flowers blooming in the distance. "Is that why you wanted to bring me here, Eris? They look like the ones near the Tree of Life."

[attr="class","littlejay"] Comfeys. He is reminded of a time, so many months ago, where his own life had nearly been in danger. The power of a Comfey's heal was quite something to behold. It was no surprise that - since then - Jayden had been curious about them.

[break][break] Jayden himself had been cautioned against touching the blooms — perhaps such cautions did not exist against pokemon. After all, surely they had dealt with worse? Plus there were likely more cures for pokemon-related toxins.

[break][break] "Mossdeep is nice," Jayden remarks casually. "Did you know I used to work here?"

[break][break] "I'm unsure," Jayden admits honestly. He thinks of the warning that Cillian Quinn said to him not that long ago, to not touch them if they didn't know what they were. "Though it's likely a good sign that you don't feel sick." He glances sideways at Eris, thoughtful.

[break][break] "Though, perhaps we should monitor you in case."

[break][break] Ironic, considering Jayden was wholly unaware of the other's adventures, and how much exactly Rocket was currently monitoring her.

[break][break] Jayden blinks, then let out a soft laugh. "No."

[break][break] He turns then, squinting. In the distance, he looks over at the Mossdeep skyline, his gaze drifting to a single area in particular that - actually - was not too far away from the city's spacecenter.

[break][break] "A barista, actually. I worked at the Starboks over..." A pause, before he points. "There."

[break][break] "No," he says, with a shake of his head. "I was only a temporary employee. Plus, Rocket offers much more in ways of that." Not that most ever talked about their employee benefits package, considering how much one had to give up in order to join the organization.

[break][break] He smirks. "I did learn how to create a fairly good expresso, however."

[break][break] Jayden watches her step towards those flowers, and even he can't help but keep the enamored look from his crystalline violet gaze. The flowers are beautiful — but perhaps even more beautiful is the potential that they hold in the glass-colored petals.

[break][break] "Maybe. We don't know anything about them yet," he says, thinking of his trips to Lulu Flint and Raphael Pryde. He was sure the scientists were working on them, though it did tempt him enough to look into the subjects himself. "Bryan would never let it die, though. At least, not if he could help it." He thinks of the Xerneas avatar, bryan delarosa, and the way that he had so effortlessly moved the tree, commanded it beneath his grip like Eris reached for the blooms.
