"Mmm..."

Like the chronic cuddlier she was, the still-dreaming Penelope Livy had somehow deeply entangled herself together with the man throughout the night, and continued to do so through the blinding hours of the morning. Legs intertwined with his, she nuzzled her nose into the side of his chest, arm still limply hanging around him.

Unfortunately for her tired ass, Cian's shifting had stirred her just enough to transcend past the barriers of sleep and return back to reality. Her eyes blinked open slowly, taking in the unwelcoming harsh lightly with small, incremental seconds of exposure.

"Good...morning..." She yawned, "...What time is it?"

"Yeah..."
As long as she had no work to do -- which wasn't the case, as there's always something to be done -- any time before noon was definitely, by all means, too early.

"Good." She offered a relaxed smile, "I had a nice dream. How about you? Dreamt of anything?"

Using her free arm, she shimmied herself slightly upward, so that their faces were now in-line with one another.

Her eyes widened ever-so-slightly at his admittance of vulnerability.

"I..."

She immediately swallowed back down her words for a second, unsure how to proceed. Part of her wanted to share her feelings, her doubts even, but another part of her feared the all-so-prevalent repercussions of such a risk.

Besides, she has a reputation to maintain.

But still...

"I feel like I should be the one saying that." She chuckled, in a similar hesitant fashion. "also, slippin' out would be a shit way to repay you for basically saving my night."

Penny didn't hide her smile. The sheer relief alone was too powerful to hamper its effects on her face, to the point that even the pillow technique would barely be able to contain the extent of her smile.

"My hero," She rolled her eyes, still chuckling at the thought. As embarrassing as it was, his words were nearly making her feel a little giddy -- a feeling that become unfamiliar to her within the last two years of her life.

"Next time we should try our hand at poker. That wa-" Her words nearly came to a halt and she realized the implication of her words. Next time. Ah fuck. This hook-up shit really wasn't her forte...

Was she? Maybe.

Should she? She didn't fucking know.

From to finish, she could've have predicted her night ending as it did and for her morning to be what it was. But perhaps that was where the fun was -- in the mystery of it all.

"Mmm. Maybe I am?" She nimbled her bottom lip, nervously. "Unless you're not interested, cause then I'm definitely not suggesting anything."

His touch sent a shiver down her back. And, for a second, she almost felt tempted to close her eyes and lean into it.

Almost.

"Cian..." She hesitated for a second.

Arceus, she bad at this.

She could feel the thrum of her heart against her chest and trickling sensation of blood creeping back to her cheeks.

"Would you want to go out sometime?"

Penelope's heart returned to its normal, rhythmic hum, and the blush that threaten to break loose had already dissipated before causing any trouble.

Okay, good, great.

A small sigh slipped through her lips at the same Cian's mind moved onto bigger and better topics: hotel breakfast.

"You don't to tell me twice."

Her casual, toothy grin returned to her face, and with it, came a surge of unknown energy.

Life was good.
