"Certainly. I should be able to get you the completed arrangements by tomorrow morning. Will that do, or are you in a rush?" It took typically about an hour to complete an order of this variety. They were in a slow season, however, given the completion of mother's day orders.

Elisabeth didn't mind if he wanted to wait for her here, if only for his head to clear up a bit.

A slight smile creased her lips at his decision to deliver it himself. "I understand if you want the card's contents to be a secret, as well. Florists learn a surprisingly good deal about their clients, whether or not we mean to."

Her discretion was implied, and to date, she hadn't used any of that information against her clients. Aside from certain individuals who had sent their bouquets to her directly, Elisabeth supposed. Though she suspected that had been their intention to begin with.

"Oh, tomorrow's fine. I got nothing to do. There's really no rush..."

The reality of it was that Caspian would end up waiting for the flowers to arrive impatiently, uncontained excitement bubbling inside him. Really, Elisabeth should pity the poor person delivering them to his door.

"Pfft, I don't care if you see what I write. It's more embarrassing that my handwriting it so bad," he admitted.

Back home, in Kalos, he had gone through extension penmanship classes to try to enhance his handwriting when he was a child. However, he didn't pay attention much in those classes, and he found them all the bit boring. His handwriting would always look like chicken scratch.

"I could use your help with some... eloquent words, as they say."

Elisabeth blinked slowly, faint traces of amusement on her lips. "Eloquent words?" she repeated. "Well the card should sound like you, of course, but..."

Was her vocabulary so noticeable? CASPIAN LEVESQUE was hardly the first to comment on this since her arrival in Hoenn. Perhaps her Kalosian ways were ingrained deeper than her accent, she mused silently.

"What is it you'd like to say?" she asked, leaning forward to pick up a pen and alight it above a card. "Say it in your own words, however blunt and rough, and I'll help shape them into something finer."

It was like a parlor game, Elisabeth thought suddenly -- a little game of wits that people might enjoy before dinner with guests. She'd always been terribly competitive at those.

Strangely, excitement filled her at the possibility of winning something that, in truth, was not actually a game at all.

"I know, yeah, but I mean..."

Caspian paused before becoming a bit embarrassed, scratching the back of his head. He bit his lip before he spoke again.

"I don't wanna sound like an idiot. I know I do sometimes, but I want this to sound nice and from the heart. You feel?"

This side of him, his more vulnerable side, was rare to see, especially having known Elisabeth Fiorelli for the short amount of time so far. He was aware that he came across as daft and idiotic. But... he needed this to be special.

However, she agreed, much to his delight. He offered a small smile, a sheepish and silent way of saying thank you before speaking.

"For Jessie, I think somethin' along the lines of 'thanks for everything.' She makes the boss happy, and I want her to know that we appreciate her for it.

"For Nina... well, I guess like 'welcome to the gang'? I want it to sound warm and welcoming."

Of course, whether Elisabeth interpreted "gang" in the literal sense or not was not of his concern. Exposing himself as a gang member never bothered him, unless it was in front of the likes of @sole.

"I do not think either statement is inherently in need of refining. However, I don't mind giving you my handwriting."

The competitive glint in her eyes faded with the earnest vulnerability that CASPIAN LEVESQUE showed in his answer, and Elisabeth dutifully scripted the exact epitaphs:

"Thank you for everything, @jessica."

"Welcome to the gang, nina larson."

"There is elegance in simplicity, Caspian," Elisabeth said, showing him the twin cards with a faint smile. "I understand mine is an elevated diction, but often, the most heartfelt words are the most straightforward. There is a reason that the cards I use for these bouquets, shall we say, encourage brevity."

Although there had been exceptions, for those who wanted full stationery to accompany their arrangements. She didn't feel the need to voice this to Caspian, however.

"What do you think of them?" she asked warmly.

Caspian watched as Elisabeth penned the words on the notes, definitely more elegant that his own handwriting would have been. She held them up for him to observe, and he nodded his approval with a smile.

"I think that's good. Thank you."

There was a tinge of pink on his cheeks, a hint of embarrassment as she spoke. Perhaps they were words of encouragement.

"Thanks. Really. How much do I owe you? For the tea and cookies too..."

She clicked her tongue in thought, considering the question, before she offered him a bright smile. Mischief danced in her green eyes as she said:

"Let's say these orders today are on me, hm? And in return, you won't sue me for any injuries you've incurred in my little shop of horrors."

It wasn't the real reason, truthfully. Elisabeth had more money than she ever needed to live on; inheriting the wealth of three dead individuals had inflated her bank account to staggering proportions. She worked because she enjoyed it, because she thrived on it, not because she relied on it to survive.

And it pleased her, sometimes, to bend to little whims like this one.

"I look forward to seeing you soon, Caspian," she said gently, finishing the papers for the order with a brisk flourish of her pen before she guided him out the door. "I'm sure your recipients will enjoy your heartfelt gifts."

Silently she added, 'And I hope the bump on your head stops swelling soon.' Poor man.

Hopefully tomorrow, he wouldn't stumble on the front steps. Hopefully.
