her eyes widen in alarm as all of skoll's copies disappear in an instant. before she can do anything, however, Greyson Connors is coming to her aid. or rather, his arcanine is, delivering a column of flame and slamming a nearby alpha into a tree.

[break][break] "thanks," she looks at him, a bit breathless.

[break][break] "you said it," she says, clearing her throat. sure enough, several more mightyena have gone to see what all the ruckus is about, lips curled, snarls ripped from their throat. "guess our intel was off."

[break][break] as skoll ressurects a STONE EDGE barrier to protect them from an incoming attacks, callie steps backwards and closers towards Greyson Connors. their pokemon would handle well, but maybe not her own human limbs if those fangs sunk into flesh.

[break][break] at the same time, she releases sylvi. the onix crashes into the earth in front of them, a massive presence that lashes her tail against the ground and swipes at a wolf that attempts to lunge. "sylvi, rock polish and then iron tail!" with a roar, the rock snake is more than eager to obey. yelps echo in the air as a column of mightyena crash into the nearby foliage.

"oh, shut up." she laughs as he nudges her. "but you're right," she says, instantly sobering. "it's been a while, i'm a bit rusty. maybe i just need someone to practice with."

[break][break] with a sharp whistle, she calls skoll to her side and returns her onix back to her pokeball.

[break][break] she nods as he mentions their plan. it was a bit unusual to have such aggressive pokemon in the area, even weirder still that it was so many pokemon.

[break][break] "sounds good to me. maybe we could look around — and figure out what the cause of this was. i wonder if someone - or something - was attracting these runts to the area."

[break][break] she looks thoughtful.
