A small sense of victory managed to creep into Infernape as it felt its strikes hit against the body of its invisible foe. But that’s where the victory ended. Soon the invisible foe came out of its reach, though not too far away as the light of a star of diminutive size suddenly appeared before the Infernape. Alas before the ape Pokémon could get out of the way, the energy was shot towards it.

The power behind the attack was far stronger than anything it had felt before, and it had been in a fair few fights. It screamed in pain as it tried to hold its ground, but its feet could not hold for long. Its footing was lost, and it was pushed back against the ground, scraping violently against the pavement. And not getting up once the scraping stopped.

Meanwhile, the two humans were having an equally intense fight. But it seemed Angelo was about to be the victor, he was faster. Gerald felt the knee on his stomach, the wait pushing him down, and he couldn’t get out from underneath it. He felt the punch hitting him square in the face. Surprised nothing broke, or maybe he hadn’t felt it yet, the pain was quite dull. Though blood began to run from his nose as well as from a wound the punch caused to his lip, staining the mask which he still somehow wore.

He was not about to let another punch like that hit. He tried to defend himself hands no longer holding on to the guy, but instead trying to form some measure of cover against the fury of blows.

Gerald felt the heat of the flaming building hit him. The words of warning from Angelo combined with his Ice cold stare stood in stark contrast. The sound of the wailing scream from his Infernape announced that this was not a winning fight.

Gerald had to be smart now. Even if he was sure he could win, the odds weren’t in his favor any longer even if he could potentially outlast the older man, but that was a big if. With the flaming building surely calling nearby cops or firefighters. He had to get out of there.

“Fine, fine I give up.” Though the words left a bitter taste in his mouth. He had to kill his pride and remember that he couldn’t do a damn thing in jail. Now all he needed was for Angelo to get off of his stomach so he could take his leave.
