Heave-ho! Togepi squad, roll out![break][break]
Like a mother hen, Luka is surrounded by a gaggle of Togepi and a Chansey who seems happy to help play babysitter. It's a suitable team to match the theme of the day: eggs![break][break]
Egg transport, anyways. The nice young man at the daycare (Cheren, was it? She can't quite remember) had been more than happy to pass some off for delivery. A little pink wagon is full of them, and her Togepi coo and gurgle as they crowd around it, poking at a few shells before her Chansey can shoo them away.[break][break]
"Okay, okay!" she giggles, "They're cute, right? But we've got to get a move on!"[break][break]

"Eh...oh, gosh!"[break][break]
Luka's already rushing to help before it's asked of her. She plucks an egg from the top of the pile and let's out an 'oof' at the sudden heft— they really are chubby babies![break][break]

"I don't mind at all!" she says, shifting her weight to better hold the egg.

"Let me see if we can make some room..." Her wagon is almost full, but surely they can try and fit in a few more.[break][break]

While they play a game of modified tetris Luka's Chansey steps in to help, holding herself with an air of authority. In a rather dramatic display, she grabs the egg out of her pouch and yeets it as an Egg Bomb, much to the distress of the Togepi around them. It explodes, but not into a yolky mess. Instead, it bursts open with a puff of smoke and burst of confetti. Has she been carrying around a decoy this entire time?[break][break]

Luka blinks, sheepish giggles accompanying a shrug. "Um. W-well, we definitely have a bit more space now!"[break][break]

ana is relieved when the eggs are taken from her. she pants; who knew carrying a bunch of eggs would be this tiring? certainly not her. if she had, she would've brought help with her.[break][break]

as luka's chansey yeets the EGG BOMB, ana joins the togepi in distress as she gasps only to chuckle at the sight of confetti.[break][break]

"it seems as though we do! thank you again. you really saved me here."[break][break]

her smile is bright as she looks back at luka.[break][break]

Chansey takes one of the eggs and stuffs it into her empty pouch, freeing up enough space in the wagon to fit the rest of their clutch. A few of the Togepi try to clamber in as well to cuddle up with their eggy brethren, but Luka gently shoos them away. The last thing they need is any broken eggs![break][break]

"I'm Luka," she says, and begins to tug the wagon behind her. "But gosh, don't mention it! It's the least we can do, right? That poor daycare seemed completely overwhelmed." [break][break]

The Togepi flock around their trainer like so many chicklets as they begin the trek, with Chansey taking up the rear."Where are you taking yours?" she asks Ana, head canted to the side. "We're just headed to Verdunturf, I think...it should be a short walk!"[break][break]

Measured steps falter, and Luka stumbles a few paces before managing to right herself. The tips of her ears are red, and she can only thank the stars she hadn't toppled over.[break][break]

She can feel the color creeping into her face and urges herself along at a faster pace. "I-it's a far greater honor to meet you, I'm sure. And, erm, if you'd like to be partners, I wouldn't mind..."[break][break]

The offer comes so fast that it makes her head spin. It's a moment of serendipity, but one she can't quite parse just yet. Flattered giggles fill the silence while her blush deepens.[break][break]

"Ah, um! P-possibly? Um...for what, though? I'm not sure what I might have to offer..."[break][break]

Contests, PR, the occasional modeling gig. Hard to imagine which had caught Ana's attention. [break][break]Though before Luka can inquire further, a loud crack resounds behind her. The egg in Chansey's pouch suddenly hatches, revealing the tiny face of a Rockruff pup.

It had hatched so quickly...without needing a flame body, even! And though Luka would love to fawn over the new baby, heaven knows when the rest of their eggs might pop.[break][break]

"Maybe we should talk about this some other time," Luka says, casting a concerned glance at the rest of their clutch. "If we don't hurry up, we'll just be delivering a bunch of eggshells!"[break][break]
