the tone is insufferable and obnoxious, but she knows better than to entertain it - especially when it's coming from someone who thrives off the discomfort and dismay of his peers. though he's good at lying, and even better at manipulation, at least she knows there's no lie nor deeper meaning to his words. he's not one to be hung up on the details, nor a person. [break][break]

instead she hums, narrowing her eyes out until she catches a sight of.. a ratticate, attacking a bird pokemon. it has its talons between large teeth, and any harder and she'll probably see a footless bird. and, no, she can't say she's fond of that idea. so she pulls out a pokeball, casually summoning a riolu out. "force palm the ratticate, ven." she commands, and the riolu has already set off to attack the rat. [break][break]

though when he returns, it's already quite late, and the braviary is injured. good thing her companion here has finished his thought, otherwise she'd have to tell him to hold it. still, she moves over to the bird with its wings drooped on the ground. the poor thing is in pain, and she narrows her eyes as she pulls out a potion from her bag to begin spraying the small wounds. [break][break]

it does a little bit to offset the pain, but the poor thing still couldn't move. [break][break]

so she narrows her eyes, pulling out a pokeball instead, and gently tapping it upon the head of the bird. once the ball clicks, she gets up, and recalls the riolu. "mhm.." she hums, with the intention to return to the conversation, like the scuffle hadn't happened. "i can't imagine you being hung up on someone~."

The words escaped his lips with the sweetness of honey, yet the smile that accompanied them dripped with a faint touch of…something. Something aloof. Something potentially off putting. Nevertheless, however, he watched with a degree of amusement as the trainer by him carried out the orders as she did; a gaze of golden curiosity lingering upon the bird as it was healed and promptly taken into its capsule, all the while.[break][break]

she'll sit there with popcorn in hand, a ticket to a front row premiere, and an award ready to give at the grammy for his wonderful act. "everyone feels guilt and remorse at some point in their lives" her eyes narrow to watch the two pokemon harmlessly passing by, although she doesn't bother to give them a second glance. there's no hostility. not much can be said about her attitude to a man who was so coy just a little bit ago, however "whether they be in the middle of it, or on their deathbeds." everyone is the same, in that regard. it all starts the same, it all ends the same. ah, the beautiful betrayal of life. he shan't be spared.[break][break]

"i pity the poor man or woman you'll grow attached to" there's a bite to her smile "but i'll be on the edge of my seat" her closed hand raises just below her chin, and she gives a scornful chuckle. [break][break]

With a deepened breath, he merely cast an idling, haphazard glare towards the nearing Pokemon from the corner of his eye in light of the words she’d offered him. Hues of gold narrowed faintly all the while as the smile upon his lips simply danced on.[break][break]

”...Are you sure you’re not just projecting onto someone else~?” the man added after some time, side eying her once more.

she shrugs, feigning ignorance. his words don't weigh heavy on her anymore, now that she knows better than to let him get under her skin. hadn't she known any better, she'd say that she enjoys his presence, and the conversations that they have; but that'll only last for a few minutes. a little shuppet floats by, and her gaze is fixated on it for a moment before she throws a pokeball at the flying rag. "no, i'm not." her glare stays constant, though her lips curl into a smile. it's not genuine. "i'm just excited to see the display" a few steps are taken to walk to the blinking pokeball "although i'm expecting your interest to fall off at some point."[break][break]

Whether it had been from pure, honest thought, or some means of spite, had been something less than easy to ascertain. In any case, however, it was a statement said in confidence, paired with naught more than a soft chuckle within the midst of the words, themselves.[break][break]

”After all, the way you phrase it makes me think you’re in it for the entertainment,” he hummed, eying the flashing capsule within an idle manner. ”I can’t just give you the satisfaction of spilling every single happening of my life so easily, after all, no~?”[break][break]

they're walking and she notices a sleeping koala pokemon. [break][break]

and hell, if she didn't know about the pokemon in particular, she'd think it were dead. still, it seems to.. actually be fast asleep, so who is she to pass up on the opportunity? she chucks a pokeball at it, casually, in passing, and in its sleep. she hopes that it's having some good dreams. [break][break]

and her attention is back on a man, and there he goes again trying to poke fun. while he's smiling and seemingly amused with keeping information from her, she maintains a generally deadpan expression as a sigh escapes her lips. "i suppose not. it's still a shame."[break][break]

then she glances back to the road, taking a couple of steps ahead. ".. actually." she sighs, reaching her arms up into a stretch "i think i do have an idea of the unlucky woman, if my convenient source is right" [break][break]

she's going to gag saying the word, she'll have you know. [break][break]

Oh, dear, that was a word he never thought he’d hear from her lips.[break][break]

It was a bit ridiculous, truthfully speaking— though the sheer degree of how uncharacteristic it had been prompted a sudden, singular huff of a cackle to leave his chest as he tented his brows in what most would consider to be concern.[break][break]

In the case of him, however, it was more of amusement.[break][break]

”...Oddly enough, yes~,” he mused, smirking a faint bit more as his gaze trailed idly after the passing Pokemon before tossing a Pokeball out towards howl's the moving castle. ”Specifically from a friend of Fiora’s. …Her roommate, to be more exact.”[break][break]
