Nah, her ‘tch’ is cuter. Everyone agrees, of course.

The Kanto fighting-types meet in fiery fists and feet. A punch hits, and the Hitmonlee quickly retaliates with a low kick coated in flames. Hitmonchan is quick enough the jump, lifting his feet to let the kick pass below him. The warmth of the fire flashes against his bare skin, reminding him it was too close of a call.

When his feet strike the ground again, he lunges forward with another punch, this time the fist angled down towards the Hitmonlee sparks with electricity (THUNDER PUNCH).

electricity cracks as the THUNDER PUNCH comes swinging. but it's as they say: styles make fights, and the difference between theirs is making for an entertaining one.[break][break]

with its legs still on fire, hitmonlee slips underneath the THUNDER PUNCH only to throw a BLAZE KICK to hitmonchan's body.[break][break]

The BLAZE KICK manages to sneak in and strike Ferrum in the chest. With a grunt, the Hitmonchan flips backwards, landing nimbly on his feet once again. With a smile, he raises his head to glare at the Hitmonlee with a focused gaze. A heart beat later, he’s on the move again. He lunges forward, leaps and strikes out towards the opponent. A FOCUSED PUNCH ripples from his fist, barreling towards the Hintomlee with malicious intent.

though hitmonlee's attacks are connecting, they aren't doing nearly as much damage as they should be. perhaps the flames wrapped around its legs aren't hot enough?[break][break]

FOCUS PUNCH connects cleanly, knocking the wind out of hitmonlee as it's sent back. it attempts to recover, skidding to a stop before springing forward once again to throw a MEGA KICK.

Despite the blow, Hitmonlee si quick to retaliate. As the MEGA KICK launches forward, Hitmonchan is hard pressed to dodge. With no available avenue, she braces for the hit. His arms curl up, head ducking down while his core contracts. The kick hits and breaks through the defenses.

The pokemon buries its heels into the floor to reduce his push back. His body aches, energy draining, but he had a solution for that. Ferrum reaches forward, curving a hooked DRAIN PUNCH towards the Hitmonlee’s gut to replenish his own strength.

the voice of its trainer is enough to snap it back into action — quite literally as its leg snaps to help launch it backwards, narrowly avoiding the DRAIN PUNCH.[break][break]

The Drain Punch misses its mark, and Ferrum hisses in frustration. He’s forced to lean back, attempting to regain his balance after the avoided strike.

The opponent proves to be quick, and the BLAZE KICK trips Ferrum, knocking him to the ground once more. Eva visibly winces, quick to recover herself as well, “That’s alright, get ‘im, you got this, Ferrum!”

“FERRUM FERRUM HE’S MY MAN IF HE CAN’T DO IT NO ONE CAN!” she claps her hands together, cheering enthusiastically for her pokemon.

Eva just makes a fool of herself because the Hitmonchan is far too invested in the fight to pay attention. Oh well, it was a good cheer.

it does help with the hard-hitting ICE PUNCH, believe it or not, because matias is too distracted by her now to focus on the battle. not that he minds, of course.[break][break]

the ICE PUNCH connects, knocking hitmonlee back a peg only for it to spring back forward to melt through the ICE with its BLAZE KICK. like a child playing street fighter, it seems hitmonlee has decided to spam the same move.[break][break]

Eva’s smiles brightens when she realizes her cheer may have helped after all! No the way she expected it too but the Ice Punch landed, giving the Hitmonchan an edge on the opponent. Of course, Eva doesn’t realize it is just because Matias is too distracted to coach his pokemon.

“Thanks!” her cheeks flush a light pink, likely not visible from across the fighting arena, but the somewhat shy smile would be, “Now I just need some boxing glove pom-poms!” her hands shimmy in the air with some solid spirit fingers for emphasis.
