[break][break] once the torterra is tucked away, annalise turns back towards fenris, amused. "hmmm, you liked it, too?"[break][break] she rejoins him on their walk, moving ahead of him so she can spin on her heel and walk backwards in front of him for a moment, hands clasped behind her back. "enough to want to help our cause?" [break][break] annalise steps out of his way and falls back in stride beside him with a laugh. "just kidding! i don't get any commission for recruiting people. plus, i think it'd be a lot of work with everything else on your plate."[break][break] she brushes her hair off her shoulder, a smile lingering on her lips as she looks away to scan the path ahead. the lapse in conversation is brief. she looks up at him with a soft "hm?" rising in her throat when he asks her to humor him. [break][break] do you believe in fate?[break][break] it's similar to a question she'd answered recently for a survey, though that one had asked if she believes in destiny or free will. she hums again, thoughtful, and looks away as though the treeline will give her an answer. "tough question but ... yeah, i think so!"[break][break] "i met you at, like, the most random place, at the most random time so, yeah, i think that has to be fate." it's that vulnerable time of night when philosophical questions and secrets begin to surface.
