THE SEARCH FOR GROUDON

THIS GELATINOUS SUBSTANCE SWALLOWS the eevee whole. once together, it slithers forward with the lethargic tug of a seviper laden with fresh prey. when it meets the mewtwo, they meld together, joining as one.

the outline of the eevee’s body can be seen struggling, poking out from underneath the pokemon’s skin. any struggle proves useless now that they’ve been consumed.

a moment passes. the pokemon is ‘digested’ and promptly spat out. it'll be fine, if not rattled due to shock. now that it's been registered in the TOWER OF BABEL, mewtwo cares little for it.

it stares off into the distance.

the titan…

… is not here.

and flies off shortly after.

The man's hushed urgings were all she needed to jolt back into reality.

Hurriedly, she dove behind a bundle of large-ish rocks, peering over its edges to garner quick peeks of the mysterious creature. From there, in the safety of that corner, she watched as the eevee fell victim to it's ravenous liquid. A small gasp leaked out as it got consumed and promptly spat back out again.

Then, before either of them could react further, it left. Disappearing into the darken skies.

Looking back down at Isaac Merlo , all she could manage to say was a simple: "what the fuck?"

[attr="class","skullbody"]Vivi let out an alarmed yelp as she was suddenly incorporated into the strange being's body. If was as if instead of any flesh, blood, and organs, it was instead made of some strange goo. She was literally visible beneath the surface of its body, trying her hardest to work her way out.[break][break]

Needless to say, Penelope's shock didn't fall on deaf ears. Isaac joined her in peering over the edge, jaw dropping in shock as he witnessed thw sight. "Vivi!" he shouted in alarm, vaulting back up the cliffside to try and intervene in the whole mess. "Damnit, let go of her!"[break][break]

He was too slow. The Mew-Man expelled her directly from its skin, leaving only a baffled, completely untouched Eevee behind, before taking off into the skies without a care in the world. Isaac glowered up at it, but it was far too late to say anything. Dsmnit! If he hadn't been down there . . .[break][break]

He picked up the startled Eevee, holding her close with unusual tenderness for a Rocket Grunt. "Hey, hey, hey, it's okay," he said, voice quiet as he carefully stroked her fur. Despite everything, there wasn't even any trace of residue on the Eevee. Not even a single patch of Mew-Man flesh or a single stain of suspicious goo. Not even the thick fur of the Eevee managed to capture anything. What the hell was this thing made of?[break][break]

He glanced over to Penelope. "You're with the press, right?" he asked. "Forget rhese Groudon clowns. I think this is what the people need to know about."
