If there was anything the two shared, it was thier current objective.

The safety of the citizens was now in the hands of the rangers. And, unfortunately for them, they seemed to be late to the scene.

Felix threw two pokeballs of his own. The first, his Dragapult, who was instantly directed to scout for suspicious individuals near the out skirts of the area. If they were nearby still, they'd most likely be out there, in a safe yet easily viewable location. The perfect place to watch the fruit of your labor. The second pokemon he pulled out was the newest addition to his team, a small Abra that fell on to his lap.

"Good. Abra?" He looked down at the small pokemon, expectedly. "Use psychic on the area -- look for them."

Vague instructions, but the pokemon knew what he meant. Invisible eyebrows furrowing, the small pokemon put their hands together and a spark of purple psychic energy pulsedd from his hands.

Three possible locations came up of interest: both major exits and the far top left of town.

These images were both translated to the rockets via transmitted images. "I'll take the east exit."

Martín del Mar

The discomfort goes unnoticed. If Martín del Mar ever made this hesitatance towards telepathy known before, Felix had surely forgotten.

With the agreance now made, Felix tightened his grip around the Abra and began to descent down closer to the housetops of the town. His eyes swept the area as his staraptor made swooping motions towards the ground, going down then up, then down then back up.

Abra, alongside Felix, searched the ability through PSYCHIC. It specifically attempted to detect a hint of energy that would lead them to the culprits, but alas, both parties turned up nothing.

Clicking his tongue against his teeth, Felix directed the avian back to where he and Mars had originally met. There, his Dragapult floated, delighted with a tale of victory. He found them.

If Mars were return to them, they'd be able to possibly go to the source of this conflict.

Martín del Mar

When Mars didn't arrive, Felix simply shrugged and decided to take action towards the scouted out pyromaniacs. Gripping onto the back feathers of his staraptor, the Rocket soared towards the eye of the storm, swiftly manuevering around and over the various crippling buildings the fire had already consumed. Dragapult led this charge forward. .

When they arrived, Mars was surely there already, as he had sent out his braviery to attack.

"Defend his weak spots," he directed Dragapult, who nodded happily before dislocating his jaw and releasing out a swarm of baby dreepies from out his mouth. INFESTION had occured.

The gang of men, in response, shouted back out of them and directed thier pokemon to up their heat. Flamethrowers, Flare Blitzes, and more spouted out from the group, sending out a wave of heat unlike anything they experienced up until then. While Dragapult was able to dodge this futile attempt of self defense, the trees and surrounding area could not. To respond to this, and ensure their asses were burnt to a crisp, Felix threw out another ball towards the the ground: Quagsire.

"Deal with the fire," he instructed the pokemon.

The dopey pokemon looked up, nodded, then opened it's mouth both big and wide to release a fire hose worth of water out towards the flame. It was an application of SURF he hadn't used before, but hey, there was a first time for everything.

The scene was wrapped up swift and without a lick of complication. The gang, of course, had been ravaged from their onslaught of attacks. Only one remained, twitching in his own pool of blood, but Felix knew better than to offer a merciful ending to the pain. Loose ends must always be taken care off.

A muffled shot rang out from the barrel of his pistol.

With it, came the end of the man's dwindling life.

Looking over, he offered Martín del Mar a nod. "We should probably scope out the area. Just in case."

Though, on second thought, it never hurts to leave one messenger alive.
