(S) JONESY ♂ | SNIPER - dive, rain dance, soak, sucker punch, u-turn, water gun

Taking some time off from the gym, Derek decided to pay Meteor Falls a visit post-distortion. It was kind of an experimental trip to see if the Unown avoided those places, or maybe came right to them. The report had mentioned this place when he made his last submission, after all. It seemed more obviously tied to the distortions themselves, but he knew it couldn't hurt to be a little more thorough. One could guess, however, that it might be the Unown causing these things to happen, meaning they'd already checked this place off their list. He'd have to try and anticipate the next one, if that were the case.

Jonesy was responsible for setting up their incense this time, running back to his perch on Derek's shoulder once the deed was done. A brisk pace would bring them to circle around the lower area, hoping to scare some of the wild pokemon further up before they headed that way themselves.

The water was home to many pokemon, though not the kind Derek had been looking for. When this ugly fish seems to show interest, or aggression, he decides to send it packing. "Jonesy, hit it and run!"

Letting loose a U-TURN, the Sobble would swat the Bruxish far back into the water before turning the completely opposite direction. Derek had a head start, but the pokemon was able to catch up, running away alongside him as they scaled further up into Meteor Falls.

How many Gothitelle were there in Hoenn?

Derek swears he's seen one everywhere he's ever gone. And they showed up crazy in those gachapon pulls as well. Yet he's never seen one used by a trainer. Or he just had really poor memory of it ever occurring.

Unlike the Bruxish, this one is able to chase them on land rather easily. Choosing to avoid confrontation, Derek and his Sobble sneak around. Well, they try to anyway.

The Gothitelle spots them and thinks to do battle. But when Derek and Jonesy run for it, the Gothitelle realizes they don't want to fight. At peace once more, it keeps to itself while they search towards the other end for pokemon...

Spotting the Unown before Jonesy, Derek holds back the Sobble before it could alert the rare pokemon of their presence. "Jonesy, move around it's flank." The gym leader would be staying on this side, reluctant to draw attention to himself by moving into sight. "And act wild. Like you're trying to get through, not battle."

The Sobble nodded and began walking on all fours, curiously gazing around at the ground. Circling around to the opposite end, the Unown eventually spots it with an audible sound. Jonesy simply looks at it with disinterest before returning to his 'search'.

Going back to it's business, Derek whistles extremely loud, drawing the attention of the Unown. It was also a signal for Jonesy to attack. The SUCKER PUNCH from behind knocked it down to the ground, flinching as it hit it's face (eye) into the ground.

Radiating energy, the Sobble took matters into it's own hands and delivered a U-TURN right atop the Unown's head, the quick roundabout maneuver helping it escape the HIDDEN POWER that erupted out from it's eye.

The two tap managed to bring the Unown down, prompting Derek to come running with the UNOWN REPORT open. After logging the Unown-Q, he used a pokeball to scoop it up before leaving. He'd have to think of a way to reward Jonesy for doing such a good job.
