cryptic, sure, but he’s feeling a bit cryptic. he might be coming off of a little bit of something knox prescott had given him. it was his way of trying to understand what was so good about it. and sure, it was fine, but was it worth so much as to destroy his body over?

he wasn’t sure. maybe he just couldn’t understand. he and knox were very different people in that respect— but summer’s there and he has a job to do. a job he promised he’d help with.

"What did I tell you before? It's Summer. You had no issue calling me that before my father died. Formalities between us are not necessary," she reminded him with a look across her face.

"Besides. If you really didn't want to do this, I would give you an out. You're Knox's boyfriend and a family member at this point. I won't be the dictator my father was."

Summer uncrossed the arms that had been resting on her chest, finally getting her point across before she got on with the reason they were both in Dewford at night.

"Our target lives on the outskirts. One of the nice houses, isolated from the lower class. His name is Patrice Blanchet. He was one of the biggest traders in information with my father... but his payment was always children. Grade A pervert. So, our mission is to search and destroy, as well as release any other captives inside."

She pulled out her phone, pulling up the layout of his home that she received.

"It's heavily guarded with psychic-types. He has a thing about messing with people's minds and twisting their thoughts to his advantage. If we take them out, we should be able to get into his home relatively easily from that point. My scouts said he's typically in his study at this time of night, so that's our first stop."

Sam's confidence was contagious, to say the least. Summer barked a small laugh, unable to hide her amusement from his statement. She was glad that she brought him and not some kiss ass.

He was refreshing. A change of pace from her father's minions that used to help her in these situations.

"I wouldn't miss out on this. I'm not fragile, either. I intend on letting him see my face before he suffers a horrible death that he deserves."

Summer beckoned him forward with a hand, leading the way to her CHARIZARD who waited to be mounted for take off. It blew a few flames from its nose, leaning forward to allow them access to its back as she climbed on.

"Don't forget, I'm handy in a fight as well. Surtur, Frigg, Loki, komme."

Her other Pokemon were retracted to their respective Poke balls, and once Sam straddled her dragon, they took off.

Their flight was short. They descended, landing smoothly a short distance from the front yard. It was unannounced, unwelcomed, but they had to be careful to make sure not to be caught by psychics approaching.

Once they were both off the dragon's back, she retracted him back in the Poke ball. There were a duo team of HYPNO, several BEHEEYEM floating about, and a XATU outside. Decently guarded, probably with more indoors.

Frigg and Loki would be handy, so she allowed them to join her. Summer also released her HOUNDOOM standing proudly beside her. Her newly acquired BANETTE looked evilly beside her, mischief on its face.

"Are you ready?"

Sam was prepared alongside her, many of his Pokemon familiar faces of that night. She heard the crunching sounds in her mind, the evil laughter...

She closed her eyes to push the images out of her mind, breathing in deeply and exhaling. Living. Here another day, to take care of the insolent worms that were left behind by her father's disgusting business.

"Let us charge forth, then."

Summer would stay back, avoiding the fight in the front the most she could as her Pokemon leaped ahead. Dark-attacks were easily hidden in the night, unable to be seen, as the psychic-types had no idea what was coming.

There were horrendous sounds, of Pokemon screams from injuries and a few times, Summer could hear her own being controlled by the disgusting psychic abilities.

"Surtur, Ragnarok... charge forth and light the place up. Burn the enemy."

Summer couldn't help but believe that her Pokemon and Sam's worked well together. As the carnage wound down and the path was clear for them to walk, she stepped forth.

The air was chilled by the GLALIE'S SHEER COLD, as well as from his GENGAR'S presence.

"Potions, for anyone injured," Summer said, retrieving them from her bag.

Luckily, it seemed that their Pokemon were relatively unscathed. She comforted Loki, the most delicate of the bunch, but she recovered quickly enough.

"We should be able to enter easily now. I want him to know we released his catch, before he suffers."

Summer looked at Sam as he reported the details he found out through his Pokemon, a disgusted scoff leaving her lips.

"A fool. His struggle will be futile. Tonight, Blanchet will meet his maker and be sent to burn for his wrongdoings."

For this, she was damn certain of.

Summer's Pokemon did the same, attacking with NIGHT SLASHES, strengthening with NASTY PLOTS, doing anything to turn the tide and take over. And she allowed Sam's Pokemon to consume whoever they wished to eat. It was less clean up in the end, and it would be easier for the report to go down as a run away or disappearance case.

"Stop here," she said.

The door they were at wasn't the study, but a random door. It was small, leading to a cramped area. After unlocking it, she threw it open. There they were, cowering, looking afraid and starved. Hurt.

"I want you to get them out safely. TELEPORT them to the nearest hospital for treatment, with this. We'll check on them when we are done."

Summer offered a smile, a genuine and kind one, as an extra credit card was handed over to which ever Pokemon was taking them.

"You're free now. Don't worry, okay?"
