Deciphering one more word to the Unown Report, Derek couldn't help but wonder what QUARTZ had to do with any of it. Allowing his three Unown to roam around with him, he keeps an eye towards them just in case they demonstrate any peculiar behavior. His other eye was set on finding more Unown, or maybe some of this crystalline substance that the report mentioned.

Having set an incense earlier, they seemed to be approaching the area it was in. Staying on guard, he observed their surroundings for any sights or sound that may indicate a pokemon was nearby...

The pokemon slowly turns to look at him, a constantly puzzled or dazed expression upon it's features. Slowbro liked water, and this place was far from it.

"But I don't have time to help you get back, so you're just going to have to wait for the rangers." Of course, that was assuming it would cooperate with their relocation efforts.

Moving on past the Slowbro, Derek couldn't help but wonder what other peculiar pokemon he might find out here. If his incense was attracting something as far as water types out of their habitat, this thing might be drawing in psychic types from miles away.

The moment the Drowzee showed animosity, it knew it fucked up. It's POUND did little to deter Derek's pokemon from battle, and so they synchronized together perfectly to launch a triad of their HIDDEN POWER at the wild pokemon.

This proved effective, as the Drowzee could be seen lying unconscious on it's back after the eruption dissipated post-impact. Moving together, they searched for one more pokemon. After that the timespan of the incense would've worn off, and Derek didn't want to waste his time sifting through the dirt.

Though reluctant to catch it, Derek eventually decides to loose his three Unown after the wild Bronzor that wondered just a little too close. Met with a barrage of their HIDDEN POWER, it doesn't stand a chance. Falling to the ground with a thud, Derek collects it with a spare pokeball and motions for his pokemon to follow. It was about time to head back home, kick back and relax a little. Tomorrow was the big day—the start of Splashfest!
