WHAT CAN BE LOOKED UP

Josh was born and raised in Goldenrod City, Johto. He briefly studied at Ecruteak University long enough to get an Associates in Sciences before being drawn to professional Pokémon racing as a career. 

Josh is a semi-professional Pokémon Racer with a strong track record in Gold Class races. He was in the top 32 on the seasonal Silph Cup Gold Class Money List in 2018 and 2019, and was poised to do so in 2020, until a global crisis forced the suspension of all major sports for the rest of the year and through much of 2021.

Josh has started doing Ranger work on a seasonal basis, primarily during the racing off-season, which is from November to March. Unlike some Rangers, he has chosen to appear on their public roster.

Josh possesses five Johto League Gym Badges.

Josh's online handle is @raikougoesfast. He wanted to use @raikourider but it was already taken.

POINTS OF INTEREST FOR THE LEAGUE FACTION

While Elinor Anderson is the only one that knows directly, Josh has indirectly expressed interest in learning more about the A.Q.U.A. initiative due to his previous studies of legendary Pokémon.

While studying at Ecruteak University, Josh took several electives related to the study of Johto's legendary Pokémon, taking a particular interest in Raikou.

Josh has a perfect and clean track record with the law; in his twelve years training Pokémon, he has not committed even a single moving violation or equivalent minor crime.

Josh is deeply interested in either becoming an Avatar of Raikou, or otherwise befriending Raikou. All of his lesser goals, while important to him in other ways, are a means to this end. The complete list of people that are aware of this chase ICly is:

Josh's reason for seeking Raikou was at first selfish, in that he felt it would be the best way for him to dominate the racing scene at the pro level. Riding on Raikou's back has also been Josh's childhood fantasy he has never been able to let go of. Since then, it has become a much more selfless desire: he has seen the calamities that have befallen Hoenn and wants to sit astride Raikou dutifully, fighting on the front lines for the region's safety. The events of Cyberchase Conundrum have only strengthened his desire to befriend Raikou, motivated to use the legendary Pokémon to prevent the future he saw there from happening.

POINTS OF INTEREST FOR TEAM ROCKET FACTION

One of the first big busts Josh helped Officers and Rangers succeed at was thwarting the Goldenrod Radio Tower takeover back in Johto. He has a long history of despising and interfering with Team Rocket there, and is willing to take significant risk to thwart their operations when he can. With him now working for the League in an official capacity, and having prior history with dismantling Rocket operations, he is a threat that cannot be ignored.

PERSONAL SECRETS

Josh was adopted by his parents one week after birth; his true parents could not afford to raise him. The only thing he knows about his biological parents is they were both music majors. This is the reason why he has taken an interest in rhythm games and is so talented at them; he simply did not want to develop a music-related career.
