(H/G) SHADOW CHARIZARD, RHULK | ILLUMINATE - belly drum, fire fang, fire spin, inferno, shadow rave, slash

Setting out on Mt. Pyre one late evening, Derek allowed Rhulk to roam freely while searching for Unown. The ghost type pokemon here could be particularly nasty if one wasn't prepared to handle them, but the shadow pokemon would be sure to make quick work of any that crossed their path.

Though part of Derek had his doubts they'd even show. Having placed a psychic incense a ways off, only those that could sense it would find themselves in their line of sight so low on the mountain.

A swift SHADOW RAVE engulfed the wild Medicham that drew closer to the duo, inflicting extreme injuries and leaving the psychic type unconscious on the ground. Allowing it to remain there, Derek motioned for his pokemon to follow along as they continued further along the path. The incense was in this direction, causing him to move more quietly as to not spook any pokemon that might be close by...

Unlike the last pokemon, Derek and Rhulk allow the Slowking to go unharmed as they pass it by. There is a bit of interest in capturing it, but there are bigger things in play that dissuade Derek from using the pokeball to do so.

Getting the Charizard to carry him, Derek quickly makes for the direction the wind is blowing. Something had to of caught wind of the incense and begun heading towards it from that direction. Or so he assumed.

Having no interest in a downhill battle or catching another one, Derek turns them around in favor of heading home. He didn't have a lot of time to waste they days, and would much rather prefer getting an hour or more of sleep than scouring this place further only to go home empty-handed all the same.
