Her thinking wasn't wrong, but that wasn't necessarily the case especially if such a creature was further evolved than they were, and if it came from the stars there was a good chance it was. If it could handle the atmosphere, crash landing, the immense pressure, and heat, along with an all consuming vacuum. He shook his head at her assessment.
"No I don't think that would be quite right, but that does beg the question. What if it brought pathogens from wherever it came from?" Amor hadn't thought about that. He frowned for a moment. "This thing I doubt would be affected by the common flu, but that doesn't mean it can't infect the populace of Hoenn with a disease that itself has brought." He looked at the rock with far more curiosity now than he had before. "Has anyone tried to cultivate any microorganisms that may have traveled along with this rock?" Though it had been out here for so long, that meant anyone that had any contact with it could have contaminated it.
Aside from the scientists he didn't know if anyone else had contact with this thing. He had never thought to look at anomalies of the health, far to concerned was he with other things. A single lapse of judgement, and he looked at Elinor like he could kiss her in that moment. Amor walked over to the bag immediately, and brought out three petri dishes. There were cotton swaps at the ready, and his hands were already gloved. What a fascinating science experiment this could prove to be.
"You're a genius Ms. Anderson." He said with a chuckle as he began to swap the outside of the rock first, and then swap the gel like substance within the petri dishes before transferring them over, and grabbing three more dishes, and three more swabs. He had swabbed the exterior, and so now he would do the same with the interior. Hoping that it wasn't as contaminated with their worlds bacteria as the outside undoubtedly would be. He swabbed it with three seperate ones, and then placed those samples in three dishes as well.
The rock was just that, it was just a hunk of rock. No radiation, no glowing, and not even a single trace, or clue of the creature that had left it behind. However there was an entire ecosystem on the microscopic scale that he could explore. Storing those three petri dishes along the others after he had labeled them with the letters "M.I.". One path had been blocked before them, but another had opened up potentially, and even if that one closed he would simply open up another path if that is what it took.
"I'm going to take these bacterium samples back to my lab, and study them. Since it's not the meteor itself this is not breaking any agreement with the League correct?" He spoke to her. She for the moment was the spokesperson of the league for him. Whatever she said he would abide by.
