A shadow overhead draws Hazel’s eyes upward. A drifblim floats along on the air, unbothered. He allows it to continue its peaceful trek without interruption.[break][break]

He doesn’t know much about Sinnoh’s beliefs– only the basics. So he listens quietly as Mars explains, but his gaze sharpens as the talk takes a more personal edge to it. “Do you think that was true? What you saw there?” He said supposed, but Hazel finds himself curious to know further.[break][break]

A small smile settles on his face, though. His head dips in agreement. “Hoenn certainly provides more than its fair share of excitement and opportunity.” By far more than he’d ever experienced in Galar. Though if he were to return, having grown up a bit more, would that opinion change?

Hazel hums in understanding, head nodding slowly. It’s interesting to observe how Mars handles this particular subject, given his normal steadiness. He doesn’t view the lack of an exact ‘yes’ or ‘no’ as indecisive, but thoughtful. “That is a very diplomatic answer,” he replies with an amused smile. As someone who studies myth and legend and how these tie into history, he cannot exactly disagree, though.[break][break]

He is still lost in his own mulling when the other man’s unown stops in its track. It’s something that he notices as well, gray eyes darting toward the small pokemon were it seems to be locked in place, fixating on something they cannot see.[break][break]

“Ah- alright.” He’s not sure why he’s receiving this instruction, but he stays in place carefully–avoiding the immediate, curious itch to turn toward what Mars’ raichu moves to take care of. As a result, he also ends up ignoring the hypno in the short distance, also looking to capitalize on any impromptu paralysis.[break][break]

Once the coast is clear, Hazel relaxes. “Oh—they sound fascinating. I’m afraid I don’t know much about these new variants yet.” As if on cue, a bony old dog rises up from what seems to be its secret resting place in the dirt. Hazel counteracts with a SHADOW BALL from his sinistea, but it seems all the mopey pooch wants is a belly rub. He obliges before tapping it with a pokeball.[break][break]

Idly, he checks his watch only to immediately balk at the display. “Ah, so sorry! I’ve lost track of the time, and need to be heading off.” After exchanging friendly farewells, he does exactly that.
