The smile isn’t lost on Hazel, and his eyes immediately roll in response, but the expression isn’t truly malicious or angered. It’s an amused sort of exasperation. Because really, it cannot be helped.[break][break]

And really, the challenge is a bit fun, despite his own physical limitations. Perhaps Hugo Albrecht will scold him later if it turns out he’s overdone it. But for now, it seems he will be just fine, though decently short of breath.[break][break]

Gwinivere floats along behind him, prepared to assist should the hefty minior prove too much to carry, and his espeon continued to provide backup to deter prying eyes or interruption.[break][break]

Eager to hand the Pokémon off, Hazel gladly allows Gavin to take the minior once he reaches the bench. He peers down at it now, better able to observe the bright yellow now that he’s not scrambling to retrieve it without being caught. Bright like sunflowers, he thinks idly.[break][break]

“Why thank you,” he preens in a prim tone as he dusts himself off and then recalls his reuniclus. Nodding, he eyes the beheeyem before it teleports them to safety.[break][break]

Unused to frequent teleportation, Hazel quickly sits himself in a chair lest his knees wobble under him like a newborn deerling. “Well! that was exciting. How will you preserve it?”

Though subtle in his concern, Gavin does keep a close eye on @albrecht as they make their hasty return to the safehouse, particularly in the wobbly aftermath of the teleportation. Perhaps the man would feel the weight of the underbosses shrewd amber gaze, though Gavin would bring no attention to his worry.[break][break]

When asked how he might preserve the Minior, Gavin searches through his bag for a particular pokeball. It's revealed to contain a Midnight Lycanroc who shakes out her fur and lets out an anxious growl as she's released into an unfamiliar space, fur bristling around her spine as she searches for the members of her pack. Red eyes settle on Gavin, their ruby glare half-accusing, half seeking comfort. He scratches her idly behind the ears despite the rough texture of her fur.[break][break]

A click of his tongue gives the order, and she turns her gaze toward the ailing meteorite before surrounding it with a ROCK TOMB. Devastating to most Pokémon, the rocky crust might just keep this one alive.[break][break]

"You're welcome to participate in the study of it, should it pique your interest. I'm contacting Blackstone now." He speaks of his Sootopolis laboratory, in whose halls the work of the M.A.G.M.A Division was often performed. "But it's been an exciting night regardless. I appreciate your assistance, as always."

It’s admittedly been awhile since he’s done any sort of teleporting–even though he primarily works with psychic types. It’s never quite settled well with him, and so he reels with a bit of a disorienting tilt to his steps as they touch down back in the cover of the safe house once again. As he’s regaining his footing, he does, in fact, miss the extra attention.[break][break]

Which was probably softer on Hazel’s lofty pride.[break][break]

Gray eyes light on the lycanroc curiously, though he doesn’t offer up any further questions. He simply keeps his space, espeon in his arms, as Gavin provides explanation through demonstration. A soft ah of understanding follows. “That’s very intuitive.” He likely would not have considered the option as quickly as the other has.[break][break]

Sealing it up so that the interior of the minior is preserved…clever.[break][break]

“I would certainly be interested in following up with the results, at the very least,” he agrees with a quick nod of his head, “if my schedule won’t allow for greater study, that is.” It is not often that he travels far from campus during the semester, unless there’s great reason for it. Perhaps here and there, though, he might be able to manage.[break][break]

A small smile slips across his face then, and he looks back at his friend with clear satisfaction. “I agree! I’ve not had such a lively outing in quite some time. I should take my leave soon, though we should do this again soon.”[break][break]

Maybe not the part where he has to hoist a minior out of the earth, but in the spirit of the thing, you know?
