Before the dragon's breath could engulf her in its fiery tendrils, Elisabeth's vision blacked out from the memory of pain. Hands flew to cover her masked face in vain, paralyzed by a panic that clawed up through her lungs and lodged itself into her throat.
"How far did you think you could run, before you burned for your sins?" a dead man sneered in her mind, the shadow of his ghost dragged back into the light of the Salamence's flame.
"You chose to suffer. I'm merely giving you the punishment you asked me for."The sweltering heat of the
FLAMETHROWER surged towards her immobile body as a primal scream ripped its way out of her at last -- something so feral and so instinctive in nature it broke through the technological constraints of her damaged vocalizer, fritzing with alarmed static.
It had been
Lulu Flint who had said not to take the dead for granted. Somewhere, in some other unknown universe, the husband she'd buried a year ago instead had lived to see the sight of her charred corpse, torn asunder by his beasts in punishment for daring to defy him.
How poetic, that here and now, she might face the same ending -- as if the loom of fate had not spared her such a demise, but rather rewoven to delay it, for a little while.
Maybe they'd laugh about it in hell together.
That was the last thought that registered before her world was enveloped in smoke and flame.
Fear had a stranglehold so great over the mind that it could do more severe damage to the human body than anything else ever could.
Here was what happened in the world that Elisabeth had closed her eyes to:
Her Toxapex had leapt to defend her, aiming
LIQUIDATION at the fires that sought to kill its mistress. Taking the hit as it stood squarely in place on twelve legs, the Toxapex hissed in anger as the
FLAMETHROWER slammed into its body from all angles, unable to fully defend Elisabeth from the inferno in its entirety.
Still, it was enough to prevent burn wounds of that sort that had scarred her in another place and time, when facing an opponent much like this one.
TOXAPEX withstands the FLAMETHROWER for Elisabeth Fiorelli! TOXAPEX used LIQUIDATION to try and block the worst of the flames! Prone upon the ground, the masked form of Elisabeth Fiorelli looked dead for a moment. The terror of being targeted by the
FLAMETHROWER had alone been enough to subdue her.
Her Toxapex nudged its mistress with one of its many spines, growling softly in displeasure, before aiming another jet of water at her directly. She coughed as the water invaded her lungs, barely returned to consciousness as she glanced up at the form of
freya morningstar.
With cracked ribs and shattered mind, she was in no condition to run.
TLDR:- Masked in green and white.
- SALAMENCE uses FLAMETHROWER on Elisabeth Fiorelli, who has a panic attack and blacks out!
- TOXAPEX uses LIQUIDATION to try and subdue the flames and takes the brunt of the FLAMETHROWER!
- Elisabeth Fiorelli basically knocked out and barely conscious tbh.
