In all honesty, she'd kind of gotten a little lost. Or, well... she lost her partner, fern delaney , but the idiot was so small and scrawny that it was kind of an easy thing to do (regardless of his loud mouth). It was exceptionally bad timing considering the other had lost his closest pokemon and they should both be on a one-way trip off this stupid mountain (peak be damned). After two chaotic battles, for once in her lifetime, she was no longer under the mindset of wanting to beat up everyone in her general vicinity. No, she just wanted to take a nap. Maybe she was getting old.

She was by no means a wimp, and even she had reached her tolerance threshold after getting shot numerous times and getting ruthlessly bullied by the manic blonde, annalise henderson . She was tired, but also a little determined to make it everyone else's problem if they came across her. Luckily, no one had. With her stubborn streak, she might still feel it necessary to fight them regardless of her mental health.

Marza nearly called out for Fern (his safety and anonymity be damned), but was caught off guard by a figure moving through the mist. A girl, one of which she swore she'd seen before, which usually meant her face was worth something for some reason. Marza didn't often bite off more than she could chew, but she was the daughter of a smuggler and she herself was one at trade. Seeing profit in things was what she did best. Granted, she wasn't exactly in the position to benefit, but well enough... the girl was in her way.

"Lost?" Beside her, Kuru, her corviknight, cackled in its funny little crow way. There really was nothing funny about this situation, but she'd let the bird clown on.

It's funny, how the sensation of a heart pounding in her chest feels so foreign. How long has it been since she's had to run from danger like this? Why did she choose to face Rocket when she'd barely come to terms with herself? Her eyes keep drifting over her shoulder, as if dorian westcliff might just come bursting out from the mist and chase her down again. But what's the point of trying to look out for hidden threats when she can't even see the one in front of her?

Mars slams his heels into the ground, dust and dirt kicked up as he slides to a stop. Another person? Friend or foe? That face sparks no signs of recognition so her hand starts drifting towards her pockets.

While there is some sense of success that it seems like he managed to take out his other opponent, there is some regret there. Poly has fallen, but at least he knows she'll make it another day so long as they could keep Rocket away from the crystal. "You good to keep going?" he questions his Zeraora who gives a nod as he decides to search the mountain for more he couldn't recognize. Least in his head, if they were wearing a mask they were the enemy. [break][break]

The cry of a Swarmpert calls his attention suddenly and he quickly pauses. Taking just mere moments to asset the situation and it was all he needed. Masked criminal trying to corner a Ranger he was familiar with, and maybe this was old Rocket mentality kicking it, or possibly even old war training but he wasn't going to allow them the first go. He gives a signal and lightning conjures in Whis' hands before it sends off electric sparks toward the presumedly Rocket's Corviknight with PLASMA FIST. He would not allow the first move, not with so much on the line.

Marza rolled her eyes. These League imbeciles needed to learn new lines, they were beginning to blend into one another. She pondered the effort this might require. It was just one girl. Even if she herself was still reeling after two consecutive battles and still had to find Fern. It wouldn't do to have the other die, then it might be perceived as her fault. Not exactly ideal.

"Oooh I'm scared." Okay, so maybe she had it in her for one more fight. The brat had it coming, didn't she? Plus, she still couldn't fully recall yet why her face seemed so familiar. Kuru looked up at her with an expectant caw, wings flapping. At least the buzzard was looking forward to more violence. Apparently killing off ollie morales's Staraptor wasn't enough for him.

Yet before she could tell the corviknight to attack, there was movement beside her. Bright light just out of the corner of her. Reactively, her hand went to a pokeball, releasing Trevenant. The electricity buzzed off of the old tree's bark, diluted in impact before the Trevenant responded with Forest's Curse inflicting the opponent with grass type and then striking out with Will-o-Wisp.

Meanwhile, Kuru lashed out at the girl with Brave bird.

Well shit, this changed things. She didn't sign up for two attackers, both clearly with strong pokemon. Well here went nothing.

Perhaps, this is what she's prided herself on, the trait that makes her markedly different from the rest of her bloodline. Perhaps, it's the one thing that will lead to her eventual downfall.

Interference introduces unknown variables, causes the tension to explode into action as she lets out a quiet click of her tongue. Her eyes narrow, her Swampert Protecting against the barrelling Corviknight as she leaps off his back. Then, he continues with a counterattack, webbed hands reaching out to grab the giant bird's wings and slam it into the ground.

"My parents have clearly learnt nothing if they assumed someone like you could get the job done." She snarls, the streaked scars over her wrists itch as she remembers the very same blood creeping through her veins. Her fingers clasp onto the handle of a throwing knife within her pockets and the blade is shot with a flick of her wrist, aimed straight for the eyes of the Corviknight.

☆ Swampert uses PROTECT against Corviknight, then attempts to grab and slam it
☆ Lilith sure loves her knives, trying to blind the Corviknight by aiming for the eyes

Whis brings their arms up as if it would do something. Though in the end the burn couldn't be prevented so it would have to deal with it for now. However seeing the match up ahead of them Razz knows the kitten might not be the best match up he he gives a whistle, and on the command the white cat suddenly becomes white lightning as it rushes the Trevenant with VOLT SWITCH. As the Zeraora is returning to his pokeball Razz already has a fireball in hand that shoots out to explode against the Trevenant. [break]

razz can create, shape and manipulate FIERY EXPLOSIONS within a limited range and within a limited size. to create them, razz can conjure BALLS OF FLAME within his hands to hurl at high-speeds to detonate.[break][break]

these explosions will BURN targets caught in the detonation

After that Royal is called from his pokeball, the ninja pokemon getting ready for an order as what the other ranger said finally registered. "Is your parents really something to talk about right now?"

Typically, Marza excelled in battle. It was the place she felt most natural and at her most sharpened state. She was a sword that didn't like being sheathed for long, but this felt distinctly different. Why? Because these bastards were obviously cheats. Not fair, not even a little bit. So much for honor in league, not that Marza was the proponent of honorable tactics, but she (unlike most of Rocket) didn't feel strength in underhanded tactics. Unless there was total dominance, she was unlikely to act on it. Maybe a fault of her own ego, but it mattered to her.

She was beginning to give less shits in regards to her ego.

Corviknight hit the ground hard as Swampert slammed down on top of it. The knives, however, was the point that Marza's tactics changed. She'd been fully willing to sit back and battle, which wasn't her strong point. She was an active participant in most fights, but she was tired. "Kuru, iron defense." The armor went up and the knives fell away uselessly. The bird thrashed, managed to make it back into the air but was clearly tired after the events earlier that day.

"Don't feel so self-important, princess. I don't give a damn who your parents are." Maybe at one time, she had been motivated by interest, but that had been traded by fury. Marza's temper had snapped. If the little girl wanted to get involved in the fight, then she'd bring the fight to her. As Corviknight lashed out at Swampert with STEEL WING, Marza dashed forward towards lilith eirwin . One hand aimed then to grab her by the wrist as she drove her body forward, hoping to knock the slight girl off guard before driving her down to the ground with greater body mass.

Meanwhile, Tree was thrashing from sudden flames that were eating up his bark. The fire came from....FIREBALLS? Who the hell were these guys!? Charred and clearly in pain, Tree used LEECH SEED on the opposing Greninja, hoping to syphon as much health back as it could.

[attr="class","hanatext"]She's dealt with her fair share of angered people in her time, dodged things far worse than a simple tackle to the ground. So as always, she meets the burning fury with an icy demeanor, shifting her stance to bear the weight of the initial pulling momentum before painfully twisting herself out of the charging bulls way. Even as her wrist pops uncomfortably under the sheer strain, she doesn't blink as she reaches for another knife with her free arm, holding it steady and allowing Marza's movement to simply help her sink the blade right into her side.

Now this is where she's always belonged, drowning in the heat of violence and dancing with the lingering threat of death. And with the release of pressure from right in front of him, Mars doesn't miss a beat, unleashing a highly concentrated Hydro Pump at the fleeing Corviknight.

☆ Lilith doesn't get thrown off balance but she sure does dislocate her wrist to barely move out of Marza's tackle

While it does feel some of it's life being drained Royal doesn't plan to be weak to the other for long as it dashes toward the ghost Pokemon with AERIAL ACE, it's Protean making him a flying type for the move as it went in to attack. Something that Razz cursed lightly as it meant he couldn't help with that. Though at least he had trust that Royal could take care of it as the Rangers looks toward the other two. [Break][break]

Once more realizing that he couldn't just blast her off the mountain like he did the 2nd masked man(Remiel Calcifet). Though he does blast himself closer as he arms himself with his stun baton. "I would get off the mountain now before you get yourself in worse trouble," it's a warning, and the only one he was willing to give.

She felt a bone pop beneath her hand. The movement of their bodies was violent and fast and hard to track. She'd been in the cage enough times to prove she could fight, even when every inch of her strained under the exhaustiveness of the day. A lot had happened since that gunshot had nearly blown her jaw off. Almost none of it good and she was still missing her stupid twink partner.

Now, she'd not expected that out of the girl and she'd be lying to say she didn't respect her fight. Using her strength to pry the girl's wrist back, the knife dropped to the ground and she took the moment to put distance between them.

[attr="class","hanatext"]The pain of having her wrist get wrestled dissipates as soon as the woman lets go, the space put between them much appreciated as she starts to rub at the dislocated joint. But even with how she works to pop the joint back into its socket, she never once lets her gaze wander from the most prominent threat.

They outnumber her, they've taken down another pokemon in her party and it seems like she's gone through her fair share of gauntlets thus far... There's most definitely a bond between trainer and mon, one that she's not quite ruthless enough to break. But history dictates her need to err on the side of caution, her gaze narrowed as she whistles for Mars to let up on the pressure.

The call of another Pokemon shows that there is still some fight within the other. Razz's hands grow hot as some sparks from his hand in warning. But it seems like she wants to come with a command of her own. Demanding the other rangers to call off her own Pokemon and so for now Razz does nothing as Lilith complies. [Break][break]

Royal seems to say something to him and while he doesn't understand him fully he does get the gist of it of thinking it's a bad idea to let her go. But Razz knows there are bigger Rocket to deal with so he gives her the chance to leave.

Marza wasn't in a position to make demands, she knew that. In all honesty, she hadn't a clue what the hell she was going to do if she didn't call the Swampert off. Continue fighting? Probably. It wasn't like she could just leave Kuru. Though the feeling of nausea beginning to settle in her made he realize she didn't have time to fight them. Kommo-o bristled, scales click-clacking in a barely concealed and impatient threat. Boom burst rising under the surface, waiting for the tension to snap. And then the girl called off Swampert.

She felt a sigh leave her before she could control it. A barely concealed thank you that she didn't actually utter because that wasn't her style. Though she knew that the girl didn't have to do shit. Kuru flopped up, looking like a dazed & water-logged rat. Hopping up, he cawed at the Swampert in such an abrupt way, she was certain it was an especially foul-mouthed swear. Her hand closed on the wound at her side, realizing how much blood she'd lost during the intensity of the moment as the corviknight hopped over to her.

"Alright, I'm gone." She stepped back. Kommo-o remained, bristling for just the amount of time it took for her to book it into the mist. Then he was recalled. Idly, she wondered if fern delaney had croaked yet.

Even now, as she watches the Rocket sigh with relief, as the voices in her head clamour for her to tie up all loose ends, she makes no move to aggress.

Trouble festers, young Eirwen.

Clicking her tongue, Lilith turns her gaze away from the mist. For all she knows, that woman might actually get finished by some upstart ranger looking for blood. And even if she wants to get revenge, it sure as hell won't be anytime soon with the state she left in. For now, she finds comfort in picking her fallen knives, cleaning the blood right off with help from her Swampert.

Arceus knows how quickly she'll make them rust.
