mt. pyre. that operation sounded almost as dangerous as trying to land on a meteor, and he had zero desire to mess around anywhere near the primal points, or take part in sabotaging the league’s efforts.

”oh, i figure i’ll hang back and watch the tunnels. make sure no one takes advantage of everyone else bein’ gone.” which was one way of cleverly hiding from the chaos he knew he was not quite equipped enough to handle.

but, also, it was perfectly valid, he assumed. someone needed to do it. would gavin find this plan suitable? he sipped his bourbon casually, waiting for any hint of disapproval.

he sipped his drink, attention briefly stolen by passing lights through the massive windows. he was good at keeping casual eye contact, despite an anxiously traveling awareness.

gavin's offer was met with a single shake of his head.

”oh, i’d rather not. i’m no man o’ violence.” his drawl slow. it might sound more lazy than calculated, though he was watching his words nonetheless. his smile never faded. ”you got your dogs. i fancy myself more of a fox than a hound.”
