She does not always use non-verbal commands with her Pokémon, but these two are specifically trained for it, as are another pair of poochyena. The latter for assisting her at the police department she’s been tasked with laying low in. These two, as backup, but she loves them just the same. The only other Pokémon trainer the same is her lucario, but she often talks to Fang as if he’s another person, and not just a Pokémon that often brawls alongside her.[break][break]

Somehow, she provokes a laugh from him, and her head quirks to the side. She didn’t find her question particularly funny, but it has amused him nonetheless. “I suppose I don’t, but I wasn’t aware this circuit had Rocket affiliates.”[break][break]

It’s not accusatory, just observation.[break][break]

The haze that slips around them makes her nose wrinkle in distaste, but as Mars deals with the koffing, it gives cover for an Arbok to slither through, thinking it will be undetected.[break][break]

With a click of her tongue, her houndour CRUNCHES down on the end of its tail and yanks it back toward them like it’s a toy.

It doesn’t really surprise him. Most of his operations are secretive with the intent of being so, and with Team Rocket operating on a need-to-know basis, the possibility of a Rocket grunt who fights at a circuit not knowing of its affiliation isn’t a reach at all. It’s a good thing, in his opinion. Proof that their secrecy is working as intended.

Rather than focus on the honchkrow swooping above them, Blue listens to Mars as he speaks, head tilted as the observation becomes twofold—an explanation as well as a showdown with a gengar.[break][break]

She supposes she’s not really of the standing to question his methods or choices, though it’s just curiosity that fuels her responses. “I see..” Had her old handler’s circuit been working with Rocket then, under the radar?[break][break]

Blue almost asks it— did you- do you know Lucius Cardello? but she bites her tongue before she can. It feels too exposing. Too vulnerable. He doesn’t hold swaying power over her anymore, so it does not matter.[break][break]

Or it shouldn’t, anyway.[break][break]

“That makes sense. It’s a smart maneuver.” Almost like fighting in the ring itself, a stealthy knockout punch.

A Gengar seems interested in causing some mischief; suddenly appearing from within the shadows cast by their pokémon. The more likely truth is that they happened to wander into its territory, but even if Mars is aware that this might be the case, it doesn’t stop him from commanding Dollar to deal with the problem.

Less of a problem and more of a small inconvenience, really.

Try as the Gengar may, none of its spectral attacks have any effect on the Persian, its Normal type working as one of its greatest advantages. Between this immunity and the use of HIDDEN POWER, the battle is quickly decided, making it easy for Mars’ attention to return to his new acquaintance.

You could call it familiar.” For a long time the circuit she was a staple name within was like a secondary home, whether she had wanted it to be or not.[break][break]

Now it’s all secondhand familiar. Like the back of her hand.[break][break]

Blue is temporarily distracted by the nuzleaf that looks to draw the attention of her houndour. The canine is having none of it, however. Cloaked in fire, she makes quick work of singeing the creature with a collision of FLAME CHARGE.

His assessment of her is that she's interesting, but does that really say anything of blue murtagh's worth to Team Rocket? Is she an asset, a liability, or both? If judging solely by her pokémon's ability to bring down every opponent they've faced, at least the asset part seems obvious.

An odd, mousy creature with eyes the size of its little body scuttles out. Probably looking for food. she finds a half-eaten granola bar in her pocket from earlier and offers it out. The shroodle takes an interest and she taps it with a ball while it's distraction.[break][break]

What would you change?[break][break]

she looks over at him, lip curling into something snide for a moment. "Look, I just follow orders. I'm not a policy person."[break][break]

In simpler terms-- if it ain't broke don't fix it. In the case of fighting rings like these, when one falls apart another one just like it will take its place.

When they're approached by a Persian that looks exactly like his own, Mars raises a brow, knowing that species like these rarely wander Slateport's outskirts. Dollar's reaction tells him all he needs to know: the scent puts the Persian on edge. Illusions trick only the eyes, not the sensitive nose of a feline.

The underboss commands the Persian to deal with this matter, but Blue's response amuses him. There's a smirk.

Is she happy with how it is?[break][break]

Blue shrugs, uncomfortable with the self-evaluation that the question seems to warrant. “Doesn't matter if I’m happy with it or not. That’s the way it is.” Cut and dry. To be treated as a ground shaker or mover is unnecessary. She has a place, and she fits into it. The follower.[break][break]

Her patience for this moment has run dry. Without another word, she whistles and her dogs turn to chase her heels. Turning her back on the consideration that she could have a voice or say, she retreats. Only pausing for a lokix that tries to stand in her way. A quick CRUNCH from her houndour and a pokeball solve the problem before she fades into the night.
