[break][break] but melody would know, if she bothered to look up WYNDON PHARMACEUTICALS, that the company - while never having made an official claim, one way or another - had a shady enough past. if one day, it was leaked to side with the shadows, it would not be particularly surprising.

his brow arches, before he lets out an unexpected laugh.

[break][break] the conversation, however, is cut short as an unusual pokemon that jayden doesn't recognize comes out to defend his trainer. he watches in quiet curiosity as the cat-like pokemon engages with another wild pokemon.

[break][break] the wild tentacool is left alone, as jayden chases the more interesting matter — these two unusual pokemon.

[break][break] "i don't believe i recognize your pokemon," he says, walking closer to melody. "or the other one, for that matter."

[break][break] A region that Jayden had only ever heard about, but had never been himself. He nods along in understanding as Melody Miro explains the details of the pokemon to him, both the region and the pokemon in her possession.

[break][break] "I see. Thank you for letting me know." A pause as he glances at her pokemon. "And nice to meet you, Meowscarda."

[break][break] Jayden wonders what other pokemon are Paldean, and if their appearance has anything to do with the rifts that are emerging... or is it just winter time and pokemon are traveling?

[break][break] As the Gorebyss appears, Jayden doesn't seem concerned but apparently one of his pokemon do. His Huntail bursts forth from it's ball to join the wild Gorebyss, and the Rocket Admin blinks. Perhaps they knew each other?

[break][break] Just in case, he throws a pokeball towards the Gorebyss while it's distracted with his Huntail.

[break][break] interesting. he didn't know that the elite four Melody Miro and illeana were close, but then again, it made sense. they were both ensnared within the trap that was the league, as much as he wished his childhood friend was not.

[break][break] he decided to catalogue it away for later, in case it came up.

[break][break] jayden flashes a quick smile at the meowscarda, before his curiosity is picked up by an unusual pokemon. it's a small flicker of a flame that floats in the space before them, reminding him of a chandelure. however, the ember trembles — and suddenly, the faint form of a ghost canine can be seen.

[break][break] the rocket admin whistles sharp, and his dragapult dips down to clip the pup off-guard. a SUCKER PUNCH sails in the pokemon's face, and a pokeball is thrown to capture it.

[break][break] he glances back over at the meowscarda, who is currently pouting at melody. "i can relate," he says. "i'm also not much of a fan of swimming." though, that had more to do with drowning than it did swimming.

[break][break] quickly, jayden glances at his watch.

[break][break] "ah, my apologies. i must depart. it was nice hanging out with you, though, melody. we should do it again sometime."
