he stood at the edge of the abandoned research facility, wondering what he might find today. unlike when he had found Melody Miro here, he stood at the outside of it today. looking afar at the horizon of endless sea. his fingers brushed against his cheek, where the bruise was still blooming from where he had been hit.

as he stares out at the endless sea, the sun sinks past the horizon. a myriad of blues and purples stretch across the sky, bleeding out in the winter sky.

[break][break] the glow of a colony of lampent swim past, looking like a slow-moving sea of stars. part of him wants to capture one, take them for himself, but for once, he doesn't find himself interested in it.

[break][break] instead, he frowns as he walks across the stretch of sea mauville. his shoes scuff the broken wood, as he peels it back. his umbreon follows him, sniffing to see if there is anything that lies in it's interior.

there is nothing there beneath the darkness of the ship, so they move on.

[break][break] as they do so, there is flash of light as a feebas flies high into the sky. it's dull scales catch the light of the dusk, a flash of purple and blue, before it dips further into the sea. jayden ignores it, as he leads his umbreon past a steel set of double doors to investigate deeper into the facility.

before he can make much headway, however, there is a ghostly apparation that speeds past him that sends a chill down his spine. jayden, alarmed, turns only to see that a wild dragapult has seemed to find a perch atop a steel bar.

[break][break] lada is quick to take matters into her own hands, aiming a DARK PULSE at the ghost-type when it is distracted. before the ghost pokemon can disappear in a burst of smoke, jayden tosses a luxury ball at it.
