another day, another trip out to mount chimney. accompanied by his armarouge, matias makes the arduous trek up the side of the volcano, unhindered by the difficult terrain beneath him.[break][break]

how will this armarouge fair against a formidable golem? they are about to find out.[break][break]

the batle starts off on the defensive as golem's DEFENSE CURL glimmers, setting it up for a good battle. it's just a shame for it that armarouge doesn't need to rely solely on its attack.[break][break]

it points to its temple, summong a PSYSHOCK that brings golem to its knees.[break][break]

numel's SIMPLE nature is exactly why it has no active perception or awareness. it stumbles into the battle even before it ends, and it is by sheer luck that it isn't hit by golem's ROCK THROW.[break][break]

the armarouge delivers the final blow with PSYSHOCK before turning to the numel.[break][break]

"nah. let it pass."[break][break]

he might have a soft spot for fire-types.[break][break]

scratching at his chin that lacks a beard, he ventures on.

a magcargo is actually one of the very first few pokemon matias ever caught. he remembers the slugma vividly, how it slid along the ground burning everything in its trail. an odd sight to see in a forest, but he's glad he was there to save it from burning the forest down.[break][break]

the magcargo will be just fine here, though, in its natural environment.[break][break]

so he leaves it be.
