With the cave river free of predators for the time being, a QUAXLY floats along peacefully on the current. Curious, Remiel's Leavanny hops onto a ridge overlooking the river. It startles the Quaxly, however, who gets WORKED UP before throwing itself at the bug with a startling display of ACROBATICS and an incessant quacking.

Before it can even reach her, however, the Leavanny casts an ELECTRO WEB and immobilizes it. The attack proves super-effective, rendering the Quaxly unconscious. Afterward, Remiel pulls out a Luxury Ball and casts it.

Ironically, another Pokémon in the river had categorized the previous Quaxly as a danger itself: a GOREBYSS. It had lurked deep beneath the water prior to its capture. Upon poking its head out to see, however, it spots the Leavanny and immediately attempts to DIVE back down.

But the elegant Bug-type is far too quick. An ELECTRO WEB is cast from her mouth with such precision and speed that it manages to snag the Gorebyss by the tail and pull her out of the river altogether. The electricity serves to paralyze her, too. Pulling out a Luxury Ball and catching the creature proves to be an incredibly easy task for Remiel afterward.

the familiar buzzing alerts him to an incoming threat. he has Shalin Nariya to thank for his exposure to the ground-type. a wild flygon swoops down from the high ceiling, LASER FOCUS at the ready as it looks to MUD SLAP the fennekin.[break][break]

the fire-type is nimble and agile, however, and it easily steps out of the way. a shimmer of PSYCHIC washes over the flygon, dragging it closer and closer before a pokeball hits it.[break][break]

A monstrous BARBARCLE emerges from that cavernous river, roaring with such might that it echoes for miles. It charges for Remiel with a SKULL BASH in mind but is swiftly pounced upon by his pink Leavanny before it can land it. A GIGA DRAIN at point-blank range forces it to succumb just as it stomps out to the shore.

Impressed by the size of this golem, Remiel reaches into his pack for a Luxury Ball. He then tosses it down, hoping the capture proceeds quickly so he may leave the cave. There's an appointment he must attend at the embassy.

it seems their time in meteor falls has come to an end as well. after a decent run, he ventures back to the mouth of the cave, and it's there that he finds a dreepy waiting for him.[break][break]
