The dinner four months in the making. Callan held a bag of groceries as he slid up the upper-middle elevator floors to Cathrine's apartment.

He hadn't cooked for anyone in a while, with the last being Elinor Anderson, the Carbonara he had made was good but it was nothing particularly special. A few refinements here, a glass of wine, maybe some additional take out, it'd be just as nice as going out, except he could do it in his underwear.

The ding of the lift parts way to a comfortably set luxury hallway as Callan checks his phone for Cathrine's flat number. He presses the doorbell, then sticks a peace sign up for the camera outside her door.

Who would’ve thought one dinner could take so long to prepare or was it perhaps plan? Well time seemed to somehow magically disappear since their last textion session. But, Callan was not one to forget even the tiniest of details even should his job demand much of him.

And so she was happy to offer him a moment's respite from the pressure of fame even if it was four months in the making.

Dressed casually in tones of dark blue and black, it would be modest a modest attire for a meeting between two that was more than intimately acquainted with one another.

She peered through the camera confirming Callan to be the visitor at her door. The peace sign brought a smile to her lips. The very same smile she would greet him with as she opened the door.

“Hi” She would move in for a hug and the standard greeting kiss on the cheek should he accept. Before moved aside to invite him inside.

The door creaks open to a wonderful sight, Callan wraps his free hand around her back as she kisses his cheek. He holds her, for a moment as his eyes look down into her emerald greens, before he closes on her faces and presses his lips to hers. He pulls back, gently, and returns the greeting with the ghost of a grin on his lips. "Hey."

Callan closes the door behind him, removing his shoes as he steps into her kitchen and places the ingredients on the counter. "I was thinking carbonara, roasted zucchini, maybe a bit of white wine." He begins, as he slowly takes out the ingredients onto the table. "It's been a while Cat, how're things going with the books?" Callan asks, his eyes return to her briefly, "Or are they still putting you in model deals?"

His kiss did not come unexpectedly. And she allowed it for the most part, though she did naught to reciprocate it. It would simply be a kiss between friends.

And with that she allowed him in. Allowing him to close the door behind him. She led him through the meticulously clean place until they came to the kitchen.

“That sounds lovely!” She had to admit. It had been ages since she had a good Carbonara and white wine.

“As for my books. Sales have been going up.” She could now afford to live off of their sales, though it was still only a humble amount. She moved to grab the bottle of White Wine, reading its label to see what sort it was.

“Enough so that I don’t need to do modeling to stay afloat.” Thank Arceus for that. “But if you’ve got a project, then I don’t mind helping out a friend.” She gave him a smile.

“How are you doing?” Mild concern hidden among a look of empathy. She had heard a thing or two about what was going on, and honestly she didn’t want to prod too much into it.

"Great, can you help me cut up the pancetta?" Callan asks, he fumbles around the apartment looking for the appropriate cooking utensils. Chopping board, kitchen knife, a few spare bowls to split apart the portions, as he begins to dice onions and thinly slice garlic cloves.

"I'd like that." Callan replied, as Cathrine mentioned her willingness to help him if needed. "Might be a little while later though, right now things are in hot water with the band."

Which led to her next question. How things were going. "Not good, with the whole Teravolt thing." His smile fades somewhat, "A lot of press on me right now. And a few things in my own life have come to bite me." He desensitizes himself to the outcome of the reply, maintaining a stoic expression despite explaining how he was feeling. "I visited Unova recently, saw my daughter for the first time, met up with my ex-wife, it made me pretty unhappy."

He turns towards Cathrine. "How're things with you? Found yourself a partner yet?"
