The distinctive shadow of a flying Hawlucha could be seen passing over the water. The Dragapult took notice, and the Dreepy she carried noticed it as well.

For obvious reasons, Hideo didn't notice it. Nor did he notice the shadow gradually shrink as the Hawlucha descended. Their terrifying fall was coming in fast, and if it landed, it would no doubt push the group into the water.

There was only one way out of this, a drastic solution.

The Dragapult move slightly to the side, the Hawlucha body-slamming the water with a dramatic *sploosh*. Hideo jumped up a little at the loud noise, but the Dragapult and her Dreepy could only moan in secondhand-pain at watching that belly-flop.

The Hawlucha floated up, belly-down and otherwise unmoving. At the prodding of his Dreepy, Hideo took out a Pokeball, tossing it at whatever it was that landed in the water.
