A Spoink jumps into his path (literally), bouncing on its own tail. The sight of it brings memories of much different Spoink, and the underboss pauses when gazing at the pearl on its head.

He stops on his tracks.

He reaches for the pokéball holster at his belt.
[break][break]
With a flash of light, a Greninja is released, a simple instruction being given:

"Follow it and take its pearl."
[break][break]
Those are valuable, Mars wouldn't let an opportunity like this go to waste. The Greninja does not question him; it nods and disappears, going after the Spoink to steal the very thing that grants it strength.

The DRAGON DARTS come before the Dragapult shows itself, and if it weren't for the fact that Mars is used to his own Dragapult's presence and can also TELEPORT, he'd probably be dead or seriously hurt.

Instead he's...farther up the mountain than what he'd like, having skipped a good portion of the trek in order to avoid the attack.

He reaches the same spot he usually does, taking in the scenery. In the corner of his eye, he can see a Kadabra meditating nearby, but it at least doesn't seem as if the pokémon intends to cause any harm. Good.

Mars takes a deep breath, and it's then that the Greninja returns to his side, appearing in silence. It offers him the Spoink's pearl, and when taking it, the underboss smiles faintly, ignoring the couple of drops of blood on its surface.
