Today was the day... she walked into the room, anxiety filling her hands as the seemed to endlessly fidget[break][break]

It never got easier to settle those nerves she began to experience lately. But it was strange, most people spoke of hating that feeling but she thrived in it, she thought clearer with it, she was motivated by it. [break][break]

She opened the door, slowly walking in and taking in the scenery. "Woahhhhhh.." she said as she waited for the man to make his presence known.

Callan's Elite Four room was still under renovation, he hadn't the time to actually implement everything he had wanted to yet. But for his theme, he he went for a Mauville jazz bar. A dark, glowing blue stadium with white LED lights for the edges of the pokemon battling arena. Circular, and enclosed in metal bars reminiscent to large concerts. There was to be an upstairs bar, and a place for him to work as well, but he'll need to implement that at a later time. For now, there was only the battle arena, and it sufficed.

"Hey Mel," Callan waved as he stepped down from the second floor, "What do you think? I'm probably gonna finish this off sometime around April." Callan walks over to his side of the battle arena as he slides his hands in his pockets to watch Melody. "So, you ready for the battle? Do you want the first move or the choice of a matchup?"

She debated back and forth with herself on which option she'll take. "I'll go first!" she said knowing her first pokemon would have a good well rounded move set to compensate what Callan might pick to counter it. [break][break]

"Lapras! Come on out!" she orders as she sends out one of her sturdiest mons, the transport Pokémon spins and lands with a flourish, a showboat just like primarina. Melody grins as she needed good energy for this battle "Give them a taste of your Sparkling Aria!" she asks wondering what he had up his sleeve.[break][break]

If callan looked close enough, he'd see around lapras's neck there was a small crystal ball attached to a neck around her neck. A laprasite.

"Yeah, you could say that." Separating his Elite Four position and his musician career had always been a focus for Callan, even when he was a Gym Leader, but now he had extra incentive to distance.

"Alright, show me what you got Melody."

Her Lapras comes out and Callan decides on his Pokemon. He does not actively counter pick her. "Here's mine Mel!"

TONY | GOOD AS GOLD | METAL COAT | SHADOW BALL, MAKE IT RAIN, NASTY PLOT, POWER GEM, RECOVER, PROTECT

Tony slides out of his Pokeball on a surfboard made of golden coins, before landing square on the battle arena, waving briefly to his opponent. Lapras's SPARKLING ARIA rings out on the field, the liquid voice washes over Tony. The Golden Coin Pokemon is knocked back before maintaining its balance in the air. Coins spill from its body and scatter across the field.

"Tony, POWER GEM!" Callan shouts. The coins scattered across the floor flaot into the air and fire towards Melody's Lapras, imbued with rock type energy.

She could respect the atmosphere, even now, despite all the pain music caused Melody. [break][break]

She still couldn't bare to let go of it. [break][break]

it suck it's way into every aspect of her life, the way she walked to a rhythmn, the way she made songs out of every day noises. [break][break]

It even made it's way into her battling style as it seemed melody was a step ahead. "Protect!" she calls out as the power gem crashes against the barrier of light.[break][break]

Lapras stares down the gholdengo as melody taps her foot and calls out the next attack "Aria!" she calls out as suddenly Lapras leap forward and corked her body as she began to use DRILL RUN to try and slam into gholdengo.

The coin's bounce off of a reflective hexagonal shield made of the Lapra's energy. As Melody's command goes forward, the Lapra's drives its horn into the Gholdengo, inflicting it with Ground type energy.

The Gholdengo yelps as it bounces backwards, scattering coins from its body as it rapidly reconfigures itself into a clean stack. "Shadow Ball!" Callan orders, as it returns with a pitch black orb of ghost energy back at the Lapras.

Lapras cries out as thrangs of ghostly energy washed over her, beckoning her into the after life. However she remains stalwart in her resolve to survive as her natural bulk took most of it. [break][break]

Melody throws her arm out with an open palm as she relays her next order to the Lapras."Crescendo!" [break][break]

She calls out as Lapras begins to manifest a series of bubbles into the air as some of the bubbles linger in the air, however some randomly move and pile onto gholdengo as Melody had lapras continue to make bubbles that hung in the air as if she was planning something.

The bubbles suspend Callan's Gholdengo in mid-air, unable to move as Melody switches out her Lapras for her second Pokemon, the Obstagoon.

"Ooh, interesting switch up."

With the advantage of Tony being suspended in mid-air, Callan considered switching out his Pokemon. But instead, he takes a gamble and goes instead for an aggressive play. "MAKE IT RAIN TONY!" The NIGHT SLASH connects against Tony's golden frame.

As it does, it deals critically powerful damage, with a good risk of Tony being knocked out.

As the Obstagoon uses NIGHT SLASH, coins billow from the Gholdengo, showering the Obstagoon in hundreds of dense metal bullets from MAKE IT RAIN. Which would deal a great amount of damage, should it decide to not alter its trajectory.

The rainfall of coins slam down upon Obstagoon as it seems the move had a HIGH base power. [break][break]

The obstagoon recoils from the damage and he instinctively backs up to put distance between him and the gholdengo. "Obstagoon how are you feeling?!" she shouts as the pokemon pulls food out of it's fur and chows down on it..."Ew..." she says as some of his wounds vanish. [break][break]

"Obstagoon! Again Tenor! Ballad if he attacks!" she calls out as suddenly Melody's obstagoon slices the air again for another night slash and Obstagoon raises his arms into an X formation and erects a barrier as it uses OBSTRUCT to buy itself time to regenerate more health while the barrier is up.

Tony was struck hard by NIGHT SLASH, but essentially gave as good as he got. As the coins scatter across the field, Tony's SPECIAL ATTACK drops.

Despite being dangerously low on health, Tony attempts to finish the fight by following through with a POWER GEM. Scattered coins bullet towards the Obstagoon, barrelling at high velocity in an attempt to finish the Pokemon off. Unfortunately, the Obstagoon's OBSTRUCT prevents it from taking any damage.

"Obstagoon!" she calls out as the pokemon's barrier drops after the attack and he punches the floor. [break][break]

The Pokémon then grabbed the rubble and crushed it as it rushed towards Gholdengo as he pulled a fast one on the ghost steel type pokemon. It throws the rubble into the pokemon's face, as it uses SAND-ATTACK to try and blind the creature. Afterwards if the attack was hopefully successful then the Obstagoon would attempt a third and hopefully final NIGHT SLASH
