"the moves are all alecto's," he says as he pulls a stray twig out of his hair. the gremlin offers a thumbs up from nikkari's shadow. she's had enough playtime with the drapion (for now) though, so she slinks back into darkness as it approaches.

nikkari looks with dismay at the banged up fortress. he can appreciate ruthlessness when necessary, but mitch's drapion is unhinged. granted, that tricks. mitch seems to have a few screws loose in the head.

"you call your drapion 'baby'?"

his drapion settles after the forettress is out of sight, tucked away into mitch's capsule to later be used as some kind of dynamite no doubt. she does however curl her tail up and wait for anything else to pop up.[break][break]

meanwhile, of course, mitch is giving nikki the kinda grin that could get him slapped.[break][break]

"i mean, why the fuck not? i've had her for longer than i've ever had any other bitch."[break][break]

the endearment is received with a hiss of sorts before the drapion lashes out, striking a nearby orb. it strikes back with a sand attack, to which the drapion screeches and lunges again.[break][break]

"plus, look at her. all knarly and shit. it's cute."[break][break]

is it mitch, is it really?[break][break]

he tosses a ball at the orb his drapion is fussing at, a night slash given in retaliation to the spray of sand.

well, at least his current company is somewhat entertaining. his lips quirk at mitch's reasoning. mm, makes sense why you can't keep anything but a centipede around, he thinks idly to himself, but it would be rude to say aloud.

"she is impressive," nikkari admits. he wouldn't call her cute. no, he'd call his vulpixes cute, bratty as they are. another pokemon falls prey to his drapion's slashing and nikkari turns his attention back to the road at hand.

"tell me, mitch - how long have you worked for rocket?"

"sam?" he says with a raised brow. the way mitch speaks his name so plainly tells nikkari this sam person has him on a collar. he also assumes that this person must be involved in rocket.

"and do you -" but he stops short, nose scrunching up. instinctively, he raises a hand to his nose to cover up the stench as a trubbish trips out of the bushes and right in front of them. a few pieces of garbage fall from its side and nikkari steps curtly away, eyes smarting at the smell.

"handle that, would you?" he says with a wave of his free hand.

as if at attention, mitch had looked up and over at nikkari like he was confused. like he knew nikkari was speaking english but like which century was he talking?[break][break]

then he got a whiff and it nearly knocked him on his ass.[break][break]

"oh shit!" it sorta smelled like shit anyway. "fuckin' hell, damn dude!"[break][break]

despite the situation they're in, mitch is laughing. his drapion begrudgingly, and mostly through habit, spits a pin missile at the trubbish in an attempt to weaken it.[break][break]

amused, mitch throws a ball. the smell is beginning to clear as the capsule wiggles around and mitch grins at nikkari; like a maniac.[break][break]

"like a walking stink bomb, that'll come in fuckin' handy."

"will it now?" he says. in what world? clearing a room of civilians might be useful, he supposes, but even then, the tact seems downright messy.

nevermind that. the smell hasn't seemed to dissipate, despite the pokemon having gotten sucked into the ball. alecto chitters again and tosses something from the bushes. the spotted, bulbous top of the gloom fluctuates. its curled leaves fan and a horrid stench assails nikkari's nose again.

"for arceus sake," he mutters. the gloom fires off a leech seed at alecto as she comes tumbling out of the bushes herself, claws out and ready. leaves sprout on her arms, but she pays them no mind as she flays the thing to pieces with night slash after night slash.

when it faints at his feet, nikkari steps away.

"do with that what you will," he says and moves ahead to clear his damned nose.

"sick dude," he tosses a ball at the gloom, beaming like an idiot before he's suddenly wiggling. the wiggling is due to a parasect suddenly coming out of the ground and making the ground unsteady. "yo, what the fuck?"[break][break]

he tumbles backwards and in retaliation, his drapion lets loose a cross poison. the STENCH from the gloom that's ticking away in mitch's capture attempt is starting to fade, that PLAGUE like smell finally fading away.[break][break]

with the parasect fallen and leaving them be, mitch gains his footing. he's not surprised when his phone buzzes. he arches a brow and answers it.[break][break]

"'ey sam- yea, petalburg woods." there's somebody on the other end speaking. mitch foots at the ball on the ground wiggling about before he glances at nikkari. "...uh, just nikki."[break][break]

after a few moments, a gardevoir belonging to samuel carter appears in a teleport. it bravely takes mitch's hand and mitch gives nikkari a salute as he hangs up. his drapion is returned and the pokémon he has captured are safely in his pc.[break][break]

"been fun, but i'm bein' summoned. later man."[break][break]

with that, he's gone.
