so yeah she's singing on the back of her aerodactyl while on her way to granite cave. a very stark woosh sounds as her aerodactyl lands, claws gripping the mouth of the cave and a screech leaving tilly's massive jaws.[break][break]

"oh! look, we're not alon... is that a kid?"[break][break]

surely team rocket didn't have a kid at the cave. maybe she was lost? either way, francie hopped up off tilly's back, dropping down to catch her tail and then letting the aerodactyl slowly transfer her to the ground.[break][break]

francie lifted a peace sign at the kid with a bright smile, greeting her with a, "hiya![break][break]

"are uh, wow, how do you ask this to a child without sounding like a bully?" she asks herself, mostly, but tilly rubs against her hip to comfort her, having crawled down from the mouth of the cave to inspect the girl.[break][break]

"are you lost? i guess? that's the best way, right?"

But unlike all the other times that Rocket had simply ignored her on raids and let her do her thing, there had been several ground rules set aside for her - Mainly broaching the whole subject of not helping the League unless she wishes to be shot.[break][break]

Which is also why she's tasked with being a sort of distraction, a decoy to throw off any approaching Leaguers while other grunts make their way into the rift. And as she carefully readjusts her earpiece, she finds that she's doing her job already without even trying.[break][break]

Or well, is what Eris might once have expected from any person if not for that fact that half of it was self-inflicted and the other half of it was bad luck. Still, the whole hope that they might just turn away and find some other way in seems to be dashed, so she really just has to -[break][break]

Either way, she signals to Reiner with a whistle, the Luxray coming out of the gates strong with a Rising Voltage. Electric slithers and crackles through the ground, whipping out at sporadic intervals as if it might just catch any creature that's unfortunate enough to be standing there.

francie's features all flat line when a child calls her weird. the best part? francie knows the child's not wrong. but usually her version of weird is one that kids like.[break][break]

"alright, i see you." francie gives her a bright smile before tossing out a ball, her dusk form lycanroc coming out in a flash of red energy.[break][break]

"let's show 'em what you're made of!" the electricity hits louie, but he quickly shakes the electric from his pelt and begins thrusting his paws into the ground, using a stomping tantrum on the luxray.

The woman is literally acting like they're in some exhibition match and yet, calling her weird had somehow crossed a line.[break][break]

Shaking her head doesn't quite chase the voices from it, but it allows her enough mind space to process the barrage of rocks being sent their way. Reiner immediately hops to action, attempting to sweep them away with a gust of Springtide Storm.[break][break]

A good majority does get battered to the side, the cutting swirl of petals continuing to surge towards the Lycanroc. But the smaller bits that slip by pelt Reiner's flank, eliciting a grunt as he tries to shake the stinging sensation off. When he sneaks a peek at Eris, she shoots him a thumbs up, seemingly untouched by any of the stray debris.

"whoa, what's that?!" a move like that??? francie's never seen it before! she shows as much with an enthusiastic smile before grounding herself in reality again.[break][break]

louie's naturally tough claws dig into the dirt again. his fit is not over. he continues to dig into the ground and rage forward, the ground-type move would likely win him the battle.[break][break]

the winds and rush of energy does slow his rage forward, but he gets closer to the luxray and once again starts to stop around on the ground, using yet another stomping tantrum.

"It isn't anything good." A coldness is drawn out to meet that enthusiasm, her mind focused solely on the fact that they fight a rather horrible matchup. As the Stomping Tantrum sets off once more, she whistles, calling Reiner back to her side as she tosses out a sticky glob.[break][break]

It lands at the Lycanroc's feet and spread with the winds of the Springtide Storm, a blatant dare for him to keep stomping around. And should he even think of stepping any closer, he might just find his paws ensnared by the goop.[break][break]

"You know, for someone who wants to get into the cave, I think causing a cave-in isn't really a good idea!"

for a moment, francie considers those words, even goes so far as to repeat them out loud in thought. causing a cave-in could be good for her. after all, if she does so, then maybe the other would leave and give up and she'd just use her boys to help her remove the problem of the cave-in and get through.[break][break]

"y'know what they say, if i can't have access, nobody can, right?"[break][break]

she dares to take the plung. throwing her hands out, she grins at the girl and wiggles her brows. "don't gotta move to cave the place in, but you better get outta the way or the rocks'll take you to! let's dance, louie!"[break][break]

with a howl, and feeling the equal excitemen from his trainer, he goes ham. his third stomping tantrum creates ripples and quakes in the ground. cracks form and spread out toward the cave, crumbling some of the walls.

But what is a Luxray to do against falling rocks? With a moveset geared more towards neutralising the living? Just moments before chunks of the wall begin to crumble, time seems to freeze, the falling rocks now kept propped up by an unknown force. And yet, someone as observant as Francie might notice that the damage her Lycanroc does isn't actually being nullified, the cracks gradually spreading further into the cave as dust continues to rain down.[break][break]

"You're crazy." She can hear her own voice rise by at least an octave, every other shred of her emotion now swallowed up by a growing panic. What should she do here? It's clear that this woman wants to drive her away with the cave-in but...[break][break]

Wait, can't she spin this into a good thing for herself?[break][break]

A sharp whistle is all it takes for her plan to kick into action, Reiner creating yet another howling Springtide Storm and throwing it right at their enemy, attempting to dissuade them from taking another step forward. And just as the last swirls of razor sharp petals leave the cave entrance, time continues to trickle on as the rocks begin to fall once more.[break][break]

In the midst of the falling debris, the faintest visage of the girl might be seen, the gentle crease in her eyes as she waves at the stranger and their pokemon. Her lips are moving, her voice just barely audible over the harsh crashing of boulders upon one another.[break][break]

"Thank you, Miss!"[break][break]

And nothing will stop the cave from collapsing.
