The moment the
hyper beam hits and the galarian zapdos falls, Francie feels her chest ache a bit. Yes, she’s a hero. Yes, she had to fell a legendary… but luckily for her, it was in fact the fragments that caused the zapdos to fall, not her hyper beam. Instead, she likely laid the beast to rest.[break][break]
A truth she is far more likely to accept than being a legendary slayer.[break]
[break][break]
THE FIRST MONTH[break]
Trying to figure out what was happening was quite the doozy. She hadn’t been able to figure out much other than, as
FERNANDO SILPH reassured her, there would be no going home until the prophecy was completely figured out.[break]
[break][break]
THE FIRST YEAR[break]
Which led her into quite the predicament. What was she supposed to do with herself now?[break][break]
Determining to keep herself as busy as possible, she became a sort of jack of all trades at first. But where she found her real passion was going into that chasm of darkness and poison and taking out whatever gigantic pokémon came their way.[break][break]
Francie easily transitioned from
legendary slayer to a
gigantimax warrior, including making herself a weapon to use.[break]
[break][break]
AFTER A DECADE[break][break]
[break]
Her plunges into the depths were a constant. Her way of trying to do her part and also pointedly ignore that she was torn away from everything she loved. Her family? Grown and old. Her parents? Likely passed on, namely her mother.[break][break]
Over the years, battle after battle, Francie honed her skills both with her rock pokémon and with her own warrior skills. The shards they’d collected during the recent run in with necrozma she had fashioned into a for herself. By none other than
Gwyar Wledig himself, a man who was making quite the living off of creating these weapons of mass destruction. Her fancy was to make it like that of a
baseball bat, but from hell. When struck in the ground with great force, she could even summon a powerful
stone edge.[break][break]
FERNANDO SILPH played a great role in helping her to solidify herself into whatever role she needed to fill in the memory. Because he had a theory that they could get back, that ‘aging’ here was more a product of habitual memory coming to the surface than actual time passing. Which made sense to her.[break][break]
Because sometimes, these events felt like a blink of an eye. Like,
did she actually defeat those creatures? Sometimes it felt so real, other times it felt … wrong, or different? Maybe even a little strange.[break][break]
Even more convincing was her current status as an individual, and who it was to blame that she was no longer ‘single as a Pringle’ as she usually said.[break][break]
For the moment, she sits watching the people. Her bat is strapped to her back as she watches the people moving about. She’s just come back from a raid, scratches and bruises a show for it on her arms and cheeks. It’s never easy and she always takes most hits.[break][break]
After all, as she once told
freya morningstar, she’s always been a tank. And as she once told
Remiel Calcifet, don’t fix what ain’t broke.[break][break]
She glances toward the sun, standing up from her spot. Her legs begin to carry. Her in a near skip down the small formation she’s on. She makes her way down completely and walks toward a nearby restaurant, where she awaits to have a nice lunch with
FERNANDO SILPH on his break from the observatory.[break][break]
Which reminds her that she’ll have to thank
priam conrad for the break.
