She even gives a small wink to Elise, not thinking twice about it. She’s a little hype on the fact that she’s working with somebody related to her newest friend. One who has become very dear to here very quickly.[break][break]

Releasing her aerodactyl, Tilly’s talons grip the rocks beneath them with ease. She gives a low vibration of a greeting to Elise, ancient eye looking to her and then to Francie in admiration. Francie gives the skin a kiss and Tilly lowers herself enough that the two can get on her back.[break][break]

”I hope you don’t mind but, I don’t use a saddle with Tilly. I’ve just learned how to hold on with my … thighs, I guess.”[break][break]

Unable to figure out how to explain it, she grins at Elise. ”But anyway, welcome aboard the Tilly express! Hang on tight to me if you feel like you’re gonna fall, cause I won’t let ya!”[break][break]

With that, she gives Tilly a small heel and a, ”yip yip!” Just for added flare. This causes the aerodactyl to let an excited roar. She flies up, wings creating great gusts beneath them as she ascends.

”My mom used to be a breeder. But she retired when she met my father, who is a boxer turned detective.”[break][break]

It sounded so goofy. Because really, normal people. They were supposed to be, anyway. But it became so muddles and gross after everything. After SILAS BLACKWELL his mother became paranoid. That paranoia triggered several things. Francie even grew a little paranoid herself.[break][break]

But then her dad went nuts with trying to find SILAS BLACKWELL. Then he died and ever since, her father just kinda, drifted away.[break][break]

”I remember them being very levelheaded when I was little,” her eyes fall to the cuts on her arm. She’s had worse, but cuts still make her a little queasy. He’s used to bloodied noses, scratches on her knuckles, and bruises all over from her giants she tames.[break][break]

Slices are new. Blood reminds her she’s human. That she’s weak. Feeble. Had to be saved.[break][break]

Again.[break][break]

”We had a sort of family crisis a few years back and nobody recovered very well from it. Like, as it happened we all picked up and left Hoenn, to find protection where we could from the League. But it led us in a lot of different directions as a family. My eldest sibling went to Sinnoh to study and get into mining work. My younger sibling just left, started the journey of a trainer.”[break][break]

It was like a floodgate had been opened and she only realized it as she looked up and into his eyes.[break][break]

”…I’m sorry,” her smile is weak and it’s nothing like the bright and confident sunshine smile she’s usually dishing out. ”I’m rambling.”

freya's not the only one who gasps. francie does as well. having felt the hit, guilt immediately falls into her mind and she's dropping the shield with brows arched in mild horror.[break][break]

"sorry!" it's more of a whisper as freya asks her a question about if she does box.[break][break]

"uuuuhhhh, i mean, not professionally no. my dad used to box when he was younger, like, in school. he likes fighting pokémon—" nobody asked what type of pokémon he liked francie, get to the point. she scolds herself.[break][break]

"but for fun, yeah. that's usually what i do as a work out. most of the time it's with my rock pokémon. they spot me... it's nothing like having a fighting type show you the ropes but, it's fun anyway. and i get a good work out from it. at least, i think i do. again, not professional..."[break][break]

she's rambled enough to get close, frowning.[break][break]

There was an interesting amount of miscommunication just before communication was cut and Francie was left with a bunch of plumage and her pokémon by her side. She blinked, twice, before shaking her head.[break][break]

"General idea guys," she climbed atop her aerodactyl—without a saddle, because she'd never needed one. "Protect the bugs and help me nab some dust, huh?"[break][break]

Lincoln was already at work, an accelerock being used as gem let loose a stealth rock with him. Lyonel, however, looked at Francie with sparkling eyes. She knew what his excitement meant, he was double checking he heard her right.[break][break]

"Yes, Lyonel. Get dirty, but make sure it's the dust!"[break][break]

Lyonel let out an all too happy howl before running into the fray like a wild animal. Norman floated into her arms and she gave Tilly a kick, clutching onto her with her thighs as they ascended into the air.[break][break]

Boe used a magnet rise to get himself off the ground, hovering around and using either a rock blast or a tri attack to snipe from afar. When things got too close, he'd discharge some of his electric energy and then continue.[break][break]

Floating alongside her and Tilly, Norman summoned an ancient power and began pelting nearby birbs with it. Tilly used hyper beam on anything that was out of range and those that were unfortunate enough to get close would get either a thunder fang or an ice fang.[break][break]

All the while, Francie gave orders and congratulated her team. Several whoops and rejoicing laughs were given as well. It wasn't a game, by any means, but damn if she wasn't having a great time!

Something tries to come over the com. Francie reaches her hand up to try and make it make sense, all she can really hear is that the other is going in. It has her a little anxious, but she turns her com on by pressing against it, heading toward the new hole in the wall that her rhydon's making.[break][break]

"I've got an exit out this way as well, back where we started; if you can even hear this, that is."[break][break]

She's no real idea. It's chaos and all she can do is hope. She can't focus on whether things are or are not working, she can only focus on her task at hand.[break][break]

People are being found and Francie's helping to get them out, staying closer to the exit rather than going inside the building. She raises her hand up to try and block her face, brows furrowed.[break][break]

"I hope that's close to everybody..." and that her partner's okay. She reaches up to turn the com on again. "I'm clear over here from the looks of it. I'm gonna leave my onix and golem inside to be sure. They can take the heat until we douse it from the outside."

BOND BRIDGE FT. John Sullivan

The pure childlike delight in Francie's expression as John agrees has Francie snickering as they get closer, so they can conspire. She can see Fiona giving him quite the glare, but she lets it slide. Because there's no way she's gonna let Fiona win this one. The spoiled glorified basil leaf that she is![break][break]

"So, I was thinking we could spray them with some kinda cold water from behind and get them into the hot spring because they wont have any exits."[break][break]

Does she realize they don't have the resources for such a task? Not until the plan leaves her mouth and she's looking around for the the giant hoses that were at her disposal in her imagination of the plan she gave John.

Something dangerously close to a curse nearly leaves her lips. She's happy though. In the way the mare goes forward and feeling the freedom of their adventure beginning; Francie's cheesing.[break][break]

It is blindingly clear that she had every right to believe in the mare beneath her. Francie is used to riding an aerodactyl through the air without a saddle, so holding onto the very pretty horse comes a little more naturally to her.[break][break]

The ride is everything she could have dreamed of and then some. Her appreciation is shown in how she grins at Greyson about halfway through and then eventually lets out all the whoops and shouts of joy at each new twist and turn the mare gives her.

There's a chirp on her phone and she looks it over. The details cause her to come to a bit more attention, and luckily for her it's just before an aerodactyl lands beside her. There's a fond smile that finds its way more to her eyes than her lips before she sees Josh Devlin.[break][break]

From what she's read, and what she's heard, he's a pretty big deal. Mauville's Gym Leader and an Elite Ranger. The title 'Ranger Myrtle' isn't foreign to her, but she can't help but feel like;[break][break]

"You can just call me Francie."[break][break]

She listens after her small introduction and lets blonde eyebrows furrow a bit. He's all business and she's thankful for it. The serious nature he holds contrasts her usual whimsical approach to things and her current ... uncharacteristic frown.[break][break]

A small flick through her portable personal computer has her pulling out all the pokémon that she could possibly think would do well against the assault from the air. Within a few motions, she's got new capsules forming as she addresses Josh.[break][break]

"I've got an aerodactyl as well. My probopass knows magnet rise, so he can offer aerial support as well. My geodude knows smack down, annnnnd, I've got a minior who can float up there while my two lycanroc offer support down here and make sure the bugs don't become disturbed."[break][break]

Each one of her pokémon come out from their capsules. She's never afraid to summon her giants and surround herself with them. They could squish her with their tails if they wanted, but she felt safe and comfortable around them. More so than humans most of the time.[break][break]

Lincoln and Lyonel stay by her side, still sour like she is from the loss of their brother. Norman is in his meteor shell spinning around, a rainbow like glow coming from within the holes. Gem floats toward Boe, playing with the probopass' nostrils. Boe retaliates with a snort that causes the geodude to go rolling.[break][break]

Tilly eyes the other aerodactyl and protectively wraps her tail around Francie. Heavy but calm breaths leave the aerodactyl as Francie gives her ribs a soft pet, pale fingers callused from such affections are unhindered by the rough stone like skin of her aerodactyl.[break][break]

"Question is, I can't be in all places at once. I think it'd be best if you take Tilly, Norman, and Boe with you. I can offer protection to the ground from here and collect some samples with Lincoln, Lyonel, and Gem."[break][break]

To help him know who she's talking about, she thumbs or points at each pokémon while using their nicknames.[break][break]

"And don't worry, they'll respond to their species name as well if you get confused."

As the rain came down, Francie let herself grin. She released next her golem, Jade, and her drednaw, Drey.[break][break]

”You two follow Nicky and see who you can help out through that route. Drey try and keep them all wet enough that the flames won’t bother them.”[break][break]

Within the building, the onix broke through the floor. The heat poured into the tunnel he’d made, but he didn’t mind the heat. His rock body was used to the flames.[break][break]

The rolling of a golem caused the onix to withdraw, making enough room for the golem to leap out of the hole and make a pathway through the burned wood and smoldering doors for others. Drey emerged as well, helping with a liquidation and protect where it was needed.[break][break]

On the outside of the building, Captain and Omar — Francie’s omastar — douse Ryder — Francie’s rydon — and the ranger herself with water. She has her hair tied back and into a messy bun to keep it out of her face as she makes her way onto Ryder’s back.[break][break]

”Let’s get inside. Try and create another exit for the people to escape from.”[break][break]

Giving a shout, the water-types she leaves outside continue to douse the building as best as they can in the rain created by the rain dance while Ryder barrels into the house with a drill run or two, creating a pathway for others to go through and dousing that pathway with wet sand so that the flames cannot get a hold.

Granted that he’s all over the place with his topics, but she doesn’t mind. Her brain works just as fast as his and is just as sporadic as well. Hurray for ADD people.[break][break]

”I have visited Unova! Mostly Twist Mountain, if I’m being honest. I’m a hiker by nature and I went around the regions looking for the best mountains I could climb.”[break][break]

So many zubats. Because that’s all caves were within the mountains, zubat city.[break][break]

”And don’t worry about being clumsy, I gotcha covered.” By that she means she’s just as clumsy even if it comes off that she’ll help him be not clumsy. Ah, language barriers and they’re both talking in a language each other understands.[break][break]

As if the universe deemed it her only response, she reaches out to take the pinkie extended to her in just as much excitement as she received it.[break][break]

”That’ll be easy cause mostly, I got nothin’! I have pretty much what was in the HNN articles from way back when, and uh, some first hand accounts of what went down some years back. Sorta.”[break][break]

In other words, she has bupkis.

Whoa... she sounds kinda like Remy.[break][break]

Her mind travels to her newest friend, Remiel Calcifet, who has helped her get over the loss of her lycanroc. It's nice to get a job in before things go haywire, she thinks. It is namely why she agreed to take this mission with Elise Calcifet.[break][break]

She tries to wrangle her thoughts, put her ducks in a row. ADD's a had cookie to get a handle on, always crumbling in her fingers, but she manages.[break][break]

"Not too late at all Miss Cal..."[break][break]

It is this moment that Francie realizes she's never said Remiel Calcifet's last name out loud and she's now exceptionally terrified she's gonna screw it up and say it wrong.[break][break]

"Ahem," she clears her throat and decides to veto the last name altogether. "Miss Elise.[break][break]

"Anyway, yeah, I know if the toxic fumes get too much and start to mix with the heat waves from the lava it's," she motions at a boom with her hands and then smiles at Elise like it's no biggie.[break][break]

"I've dealt with koffing before. I have a few steel type Pokémon that can help us. As for getting up to where the hiker reported seeing the majority of them, I have an aerodactyl we can ride. I hope you're good with heights."

GOODBYE GALAR: RUSTED SWORD

The barricades are set and she's thankful to not only the people, but to Johanna Joy and Megan Whitmore for their assistance in getting everything secured around the Pokémon Center.[break][break]

Just as if on cue with their final check of the barrier, there's a sound like a car crashing against a mountain. Francie startles, knowing it to be whatever they were protecting against. Determination enters her brows, furrowing them. Her eyes are not cold, but instead they are filled with hope.[break][break]

"I don't know about you guys," Francie begins as she starts climbing their barricades they'd made. "But I can see a freakin' thing."[break][break]

She pauses long enough to touch her ear, if those coms work, it'll alert at least FERNANDO SILPH of what she's doing... hopefully she's not just looking like an idiot because the coms don't work.[break][break]

"Francie here, I'm going over the wall." Releasing the com, she looks to those near her. "Unless you're serious about the sacrifice, don't follow."[break][break]

As in, she's well aware if she goes over the wall with her aerodactyl, then she likely might not come back to the Pokémon Center... but somebody's got to protect the people. Somebody's got to be on the other side, right?[break][break]

"Alright," she pulls out a ball and smirks, her mega-bracelet beginning to glow and engulf the heavyball that is in her hand. "It's time for some aerial support! Let's go Tilly!"[break][break]

As her aerodactyl is released, energy engulfs her body. The mega-evolution takes place but Francie is unbothered by it. As a matter of fact, she's atop the wall and jumping onto Tilly's back, the mega-evolution forming around her as they take to what bit of the sky they can manage. To avoid trees and the like, she ducks close to her aerodactyl's back.[break][break]

"Hyper beam what you can, Tills!"[break][break]

With a screech, energy collects into her mouth. It reveals her finalized mega-evolution as she strikes what's below her with a mega powered hyper beam, careful to avoid the walls her trainer worked so hard to secure.
