They have been here too long. Without his SYGNA SUIT, the alien environment takes its toll. [break][break]

Near the end of their brutal battle, both Gavin and the behemoth were sporting scars. Blood seeps from a gash across his cheek and matching claw marks on his arm, the flow stemmed only somewhat by his Lucario's desperate LIFE DEW. The dragon's wings, in return, have been tattered by tooth and claw and blade. Lugia has been forced to land to RECOVER from her own injuries.[break][break]

SHADOW MIASMA blankets the battlefield like an eerie fog, curling protectively around Gavin and his Pokémon.[break][break]

Growling in pain and anger, Gavin's Lucario looks back at him as the mighty dragon crashes to the earth. Though Faolan could not speak, Gavin could all but hear his exasperated plea.[break][break]

This is a battle we can run from, and we should.[break][break]

"No," Gavin grits out, as the dragon gets to its feet and lets out a defiant roar. "It's ours."[break][break]

He clicks his tongue, and the ever-loyal Lucario resigns himself to their fate. COPYING the BREAKING SWIPE that had aimed to kill its trainer, the jackal lunges for a devastating blow.[break][break]

Panting, Gavin pulls a luxury ball from his belt. He knew it was possible to catch them; had earlier seen jayden cross do the same.[break][break]

"You're mine."

The crash of something large and heavy nearby could be heard and felt by the former member of the Elite Four. He would rush to investigate, finding the area blanketed with a purple miasma. There was no mistake as to who caused it.

His Shadow Luxray would detect a Shadow Pokemon nearby, rushing ahead of her trainer. That Shadow Pokemon being the Lugia that had landed nearby.

As the Luxury Ball came flying towards the fallen beast, Thomas drew his pistol, and with a well-aimed shot, blasted the ball out of the air.

"Can't let you do that, Merlino!", Thomas called out to him. By his side was a Ceruledge, Mordred, who stared at the Lucario with focused eyes.

The crack of gunfire has Gavin instantly on edge, drawing his own firearm in a swift, reflexive motion. He does not point it at Thomas Benoit, however, directing only a glare toward the scarred man.[break][break]

Bullets were scarce, and the Ceruledge at the man's side seems primed to intercept. Guns were useless against Pokémon.[break][break]

"Crawl back to your hole, Benoit," Gavin sneers. "Can't you see I have better things to do?"[break][break]

In spite of his words, the underboss seems sharp and attentive. As the dragon roars again, Lugia answers its call with a song of her own, one that brings RAIN upon the blood-soaked battlefield and stings at Gavin's wounds.[break][break]

His Lucario scatters more LIFE DEW, bolstering their fading strengths.

"Don't think I will.", Thomas replied. Though he kept his gun trained on Merlino, he didn't fire it. Perhaps it was because of the threat of his Lucario intercepting the bullets. Perhaps it was because he wanted to deal with Gavin a bit more 'personally.'

The Ceruledge would Bulk Up in anticipation for what was to come.

"Wild Charge!", Thomas ordered the Shadow Luxray.

Instead of obeying his command, the Shadow Luxray looked up at the Shadow Lugia in a combination of awe and curiosity.

"What are you doing!?", Thomas called out to the Shadow Luxray, who seemed to tune him out.

Though he had initially dismissed the Luxray as simply another opponent, Gavin's gaze flicks to it when it disobeys its master's command. His lips curve into a smirk as he notes the target of its fascination.[break][break]

Lugia. Of course.[break][break]

"You need a firmer hand than that."[break][break]

Fingers curl around a luxury ball at his side.[break][break]

"Perhaps you'd like a demonstration."[break][break]

Recalling the Lucario, Gavin sends out a SHADOW EELEKTROSS in its place.[break][break]

He clicks his tongue, gesturing to the Ceruledge.[break][break]

"Kill."[break][break]

The eel opens its maw to reveal a set of obsidian crystals in place of teeth, swimming through the air and attempting to latch on to the Ceruledge like some DARK LEECH. Any contact with the Eelektross would result in painful zaps of electricity.[break][break]

Lugia strikes the dragon with THUNDER, the loud crash echoing through the spacious cavern that was their battlefield.

Using the move COIL grants Eelektross the effects of INFILTRATOR + MOLD BREAKER for the next attack. This next attack cannot be used in the same post that Eelektross used COIL.[break]
Eelektross has an additional 7th move, DARK LEECH. This move cannot be replaced. Eelektross drains the target's blood with a vicious bite. Eelektross restores HP for a portion of the damage dealt. Wounds caused by this attack will not clot, and the constant bleeding prevents the Pokémon from being healed for the rest of the thread.[break]
When Eelektross makes CONTACT with another Pokémon, it can shock them for MINOR ELECTRIC DAMAGE. This does not count as an ATTACK, ABILITY, or ACTION.

Of all the thoughts that ran rampant through the Kalosian's head, the fact that bringing the Shadow Luxray along was a mistake was the prominent.

"What have you done!?", Thomas accused Gavin.

As the Eelektross went in to attack the Ceruledge, a strategic and timely use of Phantom Force allowed the haunted armor to escape the attack at the last moment, as his master moved away from the Shadow Pokemon, grabbing at a Pokeball as he strafed.

"Focus! I need you to Wild Charge!", Thomas called out to the corrupted Luxray.

In that moment, the Shadow Pokemon would seemingly snap out of her trance, body cackling with electricity as she got ready to ram the Legendary Pokemon down.

Little did Thomas know...

Without a target, the Eelektross only COILS in preparation.[break][break]

"Me?" Gavin tilts his head. "I've done nothing."[break][break]

His attention shifts to the Luxray.[break][break]

Yet.[break][break]

He sees how it hesitates, had noted the reverence with which it regarded his legendary patron. It was not at home with Thomas Benoit. Perhaps he wasn't being aggressive enough, or perhaps Gavin's MIASMA was like a drug in the heat of the moment.[break][break]

Whatever it was, Gavin sought to capitalize.[break][break]

The SHADOW MIASMA spreads across the field as if before a violent gale, curling around the Luxray just as electricity begins to crackle in the air around it, in preparation for the charge. Gavin stares it down, and gestures to Thomas.[break][break]

"Kill."

Before Thomas could recall her, the Shadow Luxray would turn its attention to him. With Gavin's command, the Luxray instead rammed into him with a Wild Charge, sending Thomas flying off the cliff. On impact, Thomas would drop the Pokeball used to contain the Shadow Luxray, leaving it for Gavin to take for himself.

Mordred would reemerge just in time to watch his master being sent flying. Rather than continuing the fight, and attempting to avenge him, the Ceruledge dived after his master, freefalling towards him.

With her old master now sent flying to his apparent demise, the Shadow Luxray walked over to Gavin.

A gleeful laugh escapes him; Gavin is drunk on the rush of power as he watches the Luxray turn on the man who was meant to be its master.[break][break]

The dragon they'd brought down has gone ignored, dismissed as irrelevant on account of its injuries. Mustering whatever strength remained in it, the ground shakes as it pushes itself skyward and dives over the edge after the fallen man.[break][break]

Perhaps it sought an easier meal than Gavin.[break][break]

For now, his attention remains on the Luxray that stalks toward him, seeming more curious than aggressive. Wind from a flap of Lugia's wings rolls the discarded capsule toward him, and Gavin curls a scarred hand around it.[break][break]

"You will be much happier with us, I think." He wonders if this is the same Luxray that Tempest Quinn had seen. Wouldn't that be something? "I will not waste your power."[break][break]

His golden gaze flicks to the cliff's edge, and he takes a step toward it. It was important to confirm his kill-[break][break]

-but a soft crackle in his ear stills him as his earpiece comes to life.[break][break]

He was needed elsewhere.[break][break]

Hm. That thing will take care of him if the fall didn't, surely.[break][break]

As always, Rocket came first.[break][break]

He clicks his tongue to draw the Luxray's attention.[break][break]

"Come, let's slake your bloodthirst on the battlefield."
