he grumbles something to himself as he tries to calculate their best course of action. when nothing else comes up, he relents.

“it’s our only option.”

his SILVALLY wrestles one of the NIHILEGO in its jaws, wringing the beast before hurling it to the side. seeing it in action, tells him all he needs to know about opening up a path. they’ll need something more commanding. a good enough distraction to draw attention onto them.

“on my lead then.”

a firm grimace passes as he commits to his action. he tosses a pokeball as far out as he can, revealing an ELECTRODE.

“EXPLOSION,” he commands, subjecting the pokemon to a last ditch kamikaze.

and, while the rock type NIHILEGO may absorb the impact better than most, using up its life energy is enough to rattle them around.

the electrode's sacrifice doesn't go unnoticed. as much as kyle is gifted with the ability to reverse certain tragedies, opportunities were seldom present.

a lot of factors were taken into consideration: distance, timing, the avatar's fatigue, the body's composition and more. he's certain that the sacrifice wouldn't give him a chance to even try.

without looking back, kyle and his lucario pushes through. a heal pulse on the road for the silvally is sent, since it'll be the main force thinning out the herd as they steer the horde away from the outpost.

FERNANDO DOESN’T SPARE AS MUCH AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT ON HIS DEAD POKEMON. for regrets means he did not make the most optimal choice at the moment. with little options, this is his best choice. it’s unfortunate, but one he has both come to terms with and commits to.

the SILVALLY opens up a path once the thick smoke dissipates. whether it is the pokemon rampaging, the prior EXPLOSION, or the fact that they’re FALLERS, the NIHILEGO end up pursuing them. their abandonment of their outpost ensures its survival but means a failure on their part to reclaim and distribute supplies.
