The preparing and transfer of stolen equipment.

It was a simple mission, and yet, when it was brought to Felix's attention, it came along with the burden of making up the lost work of several defected members of their squadrons.

Cool and stoic, the admin general kept his gaze fixed forward, occasionally sweeping their surroundings with an attentive watch. The pickup truck was already on its way to their location. All they had to was keep watch, and on the off chance someone tried to interfere, deal with them appropriately.

Pick-up duty, Kouji looked forward to it, it was a moment to breath after the terrors of before. Dealing with monsters, fighting monsters, and finally, running around with idiots. He had been through it, and the bloody jumper he had slung over his shoulder was the first sign of that. But that was fine, he had it tied around his arm, and so he looked forward to it. He looked over to the person he was working with…No, under.

Kouji kept his back straight, not wanting to allow his exhaustion to show, but at the same time, he needed to keep primed and ready. His arms crossed over his chest, waiting for the lorry to arrive. ”So…Urm, Sir.” He couldn’t remember his name, just how embarrassing was that? Not very, not for him.

”See any cute girls recently.” In the depths of another dimension, where war was raging, battles were fought, and people were dying, this was the question Kouji had chosen to ask.

War ravaged, war seared, and war destroyed, but war could never rob a man of his pursuits.

Sometimes he wished it would, though.

Shaking his head, the admin's expression soured into a bite of frost. Narrowing his gaze, he glanced over just long enough to share his disapproval before returning to what mattered: their surroundings. The place in which enemies lurked within every shadow.

"Ask someone else."

But there wasn't anyone else to ask. Only them and the pile of cargo situated beside them.

Ask someone else huh? It seemed this man was the dour kind, not the type to look into the more enjoyable pursuits. The idea that this was inappropriate never even crossed Kouji’s mind, meeting the look of disapproval with the subtle smirk that usually graced his face, a permanent feature of sorts.

The delinquent grunt crossed his arms over his chest, they were the ones to protect this cargo but he couldn’t see anything that would make him sharpen his mind more than it was in that moment. ”Alright, alright. I’ll ask so-.” He turned on the spot as he walked, and then returned to facing Felix.

There was no-one else.

That was the sad truth of it, it was just the two of them, and Kouji was seeking entertainment of his own creation. Yet sometimes, one would find just the thing they sought even if they did not want to; the ground beneath their feet began to shake, and yet the cause was nowhere to be seen, Kouji looked around before putting a hand on his pokeball.

It’s coming, whatever if it was. From below, the ground caved upwards as two large pokemon dived out from below. A copperajah, and a Hippowdown, a pair of pokemon that surged into the top.

To some, sure, Felix's answer wouldn't extend much farther than the simple definition of a classic buzz kill. But to those that knew him, and knew him well, they'd be privy to a more likely reason for his curt response.

That Kouji Matsubara 's question was more than a waste of time, it was disrespectful to the woman he'd expected to arrive home to.

Alas, worries of indignant conversations were the least of his worries when their ground began to quake. It announced the entrance of not one, but two stray and aggressive Pokemon.

Felix spent little time preparing countermeasures.

"Handle the copperjah."

Were the only directives he'd offer before sending forth his Froslass (blizzard). With two raised arms, the spectral beckoned forth a wave of bitter cold. It sloshed and poured onto the pair of aggregators.

The time for japes were over. ”Understood. Scrafty, you’re up.” The pokemon which had evolved after its kerfuffle earlier out in the caves. It was a strange thing, to call out a different name for a pokemon he had called a certain name for so long, it wasn’t something he could easily process.

”Low Kick.” He gave the command quickly, he had trained his pokemon to be able to fight on their own with their own choices, but this wasn’t that kind of fight. He couldn’t see a trainer nearby, he would have to allow his Scrafty to fight on his own, properly.

”You should take some weight off your shoulders, maybe a fight like this will do it.” He decided on some banter as his pokemon dived into his clash.

The Copperajah had taken a strange choice, as heavy as it was; it had leapt over the sliding low kick.

Ice slowed the pair of incoming pokemon, drawing their stampede into a slow crawl. While Kouji Matsubara 's scrafty worked on the steel elephant, Felix's froslass kept to the hippowdown. The effective BLIZZARD had already done work on the ground type, which ultimately forced him to retaliate in the only way he could: looking to CRUNCH back down on Froslass.

"Just focus on your target."

The ghostly spectral, while hindered by the jaws of its opponent, managed a slight vicctory in the wake of devastion. its ability, CURSED BODY, hit, disabling CRUNCH completely.

"Move into ice beam."

While in the jaws of the hippowdown, a beam of ice erupted from the froslass, completely tearing into the pokemon's insides, freezing him from the inside out. An instant kill.

”Aye aye sir.” His voice was filled with mirth as his Scrafty moved against the copperajah, it was a competitive fight regardless of the kind of interaction they had.

Low Kick had caused it to fall, but the Copperajah returned the blow with a heat crash, a searing heat that even Kouji could feel from where he stood. ”Not bad huh…” He muttered to himself just as Scrafty managed to remove itself from the far larger, burning creature.

That was until shadows started to form from around him, a series of dark shapes that took on the look of his other Pokémon before they began to move; attacking from a variety of angles, using the power of numbers on their end. That was one of his favourite moves, beat up[/b.

The battle concluded without much strife. In the end, the two trainers were left only with the carcasses of their prey. Felix gave a hard sniff before turning away.

"Good work."

Even if it was the baseline expectation for him to meet.

"They should be arriving soon. Standby til then."

Thus started their next 30 minutes of prolonged awkward conversations.
