Just then, melody could hear something deeper in the cave and she turned her head towards it and immediately sends out her lickitung. "SLAM!" she shouts as Lickitung shoots it's tounge out and slams it on some rocks, destroying it immediately and revealing some grunts who wanted to get the jump on them.

A mega evolution right off of the bat? Nice. Melody let her dance partner take the lead in this case as Lickilicky was better suited for controling the enemy's movements. Two grunts appeared, each one with their own megastone and pokemon. A copperajah and a sandaconda the two mega evolve and Melody's slam from earlier activates SANDACONDA'S SAND SPIT [break][break]

She lost sight of her battle partner in the storm. "Roll out! Try and find them in the sandstorm!" she calls out as she places her arm in front of her to protect her eyes, her sygnasuit dress flying all around her.

"aiono, try to clear it!" a nigh-impossible task in the greater whole, but at a minimum he could clear a large cluster, albeit temporarily.
[Break][break]
placing its limbs back into his shell, aiono takes on a RAPID SPIN. from each hole, and the dozen-or-so cannons on his back, HYDRO PUMPS shotgun outwards.
[Break][break]
the combined attack clears a large swathe of sand, coating an even larger portion in water. what was an irritating itch slowly turns into clumps of wet dirt; more of a mess, but less damaging overall.

The wet clumps of sand manage to thin it out a bit as the sand had a harder time staying airborne as a result. However, it thinned it just enough to show Melody a horrific sight. Her Lickitung attempting to rollout through a roll out, but sandaconda uses a massive boulder with stone edge to skewer through Lickilicky's body as it began to look like swiss cheese. [break][break]

Globs of blood splatter onto the floor, speckled with sand as Melody screams out "NO! LICKY!!" she screams out as she rushes over to his side. Tears pouring out of her face non-stop as Melody's sygnasuit activates and primarina emerges from her pokeball and melody's RAGE feeds into primarina's strength. "PRIMARINA. CRASHING CRESCENDO." she shouts as the Z-MOVE rushes out, a surge of "Water" emerging into the cage, but when it makes contact with the pokemon they'd find themselves still able to breath but unable to speak or sing against her team. Sandaconda and Copperajah knocked off balance by it leaving greyson with a perfect opening.

sandaconda uses the precious few seconds before melody's z-move can land, to summon a ROCK TOMB around the blastoise. foolishly believing the water-type out, it shifted its attention to the incoming attack of his partner.

he understood the predilection; it still cost them the fight.
[break][break]
the ROCK TOMB shatters outwards beneath the pressure of the G-MAX CANNONADE. the water rushes across the cavern unmolested, consuming the two pokemon rallied against them. they slam with a thud against the cavern wall, but are recalled before greyson can assess their health.

in the thick of the confusion, their trainers are no where to be seen.
[break][break]
greyson casts a solemn look to the elite-four woman.
