Shalin felt she understood the limits of her suit and how it affected her. She had practiced many times with her Flygon and her Yanmega, last time managing to keep her balance for over twelve seconds before becoming too disoriented. Even she was nervous; this was going to be fast. Really fast. Not even Flit churning his wings full speed could get to what Queen Zing would do without even trying. "Alright, girl, lift me up!" the Sygna Suit-clad explorer requested of her green-plated Beedrill. Her skin tingled as she felt the large wing lift her off the ground.

Before she could get the test started, though, a loud, moo-like roar prompted Shalin to slide off the Beedrill's wing. Climbing onto the insect's back instead, the girl flew toward the source of the noise, which was a Cyclizar making quite the ruckus at the entrance to her Secret Base! "Oh, hello there!" the green-ette greeted the young man, removing her earplugs once her mount's nearly invisible wings came to a standstill. "If you're looking for a flag, you'll have a hard time finding it on your own," she giggled.

It seemed Jett wasn't taking part in the Ranger-sponsored Super Secret Base challenge. A little disappointing; she was looking forward to watching a guest rodeo with one of her Pokémon! The young man and his Cyclizar seemed nice enough, though. "Name's Shalin, wildest Pokémon rider this side of Hoenn! What about yours?" she introduced herself.

A battle wasn't exactly what she had in mind, but it was certainly an effective means of getting used to her suit. Plus, the suit had combat capabilities she needed to understand, as well. "I can, but just not with this one. If it's a battle you want, I'll need to use this one." She withdrew her Beedrill, landing on her own two feet as the insect disappeared from underneath her and into her Poké Ball. To replace it, she called forth a Flygon in a brilliant flash of light. "This is Sandy," she introduced the saddle-wearing dragon-type that was the base of the look of her Sygna Suit. The green Pokémon sounded a greeting chirp with her wings as they disappeared for a split second.

"Sounds like a winner, on one condition," she replied. "We probably shouldn't be allowed to attack each other directly, either - only our Pokémon. I know how to shoot a bow, and would want to keep that off limits." After all, her AVIAN ARROWS had hurt Elisabeth Fiorelli quite a bit during their tussle at Littleroot. "Other than that, that's good by me! How about the course be the trail to Rustboro and back?" The dragon crouched to let Shalin on, her hands on the reins and ready to fly.

The canopy was fairly low, making it still possible for Jett's Cyclizar to nail Sandy with attacks and diminish the Flygon's aerial advantage. "Right!" Shalin agreed, Sandy stretching her wings with a quiet hum. The hum grew louder, now accompanied by the sound of a whirlwind of displaced air nearby. Once the coin Shalin was staring at touched the ground, Shalin flicked Sandy's reins, the hum turning into a roar not unlike a revving vehicle engine.

The two were off, Shalin's JOLLY demeanor quashing and suppressing her fear of extreme speed. Perhaps it was the INFINITY ENERGY flowing between them that gave Sandy the ability to accelerate faster than normal and keep up with the Cyclizar or perhaps even take an early lead. Her hair stood on end from the tingling, as her suit didn't suppress extreme motion at all; it merely suppressed the effects of whiplash and motion sickness.
