The OLD DEVIL PASS was said to be a cursed place. Remiel wasn't so sure about that, personally, but DAMKINA seemed to enjoy the ambiance well enough. The GARCHOMP's master, on the other hand, led them through it in search of archaeological sites.

The sound of wild Pokémon nearby echoed throughout every now and again. Even the soft whisper of the desert wind became a low howl when it passed through. For those with anxious natures, the exiled prince could see how an urban legend might be accepted as true.

The SILICOBRA hisses as it charges the Garchomp aggressively. Damkina stands her ground, however. In the face of this aggression, she swipes back with an AERIAL ACE.

The attack proves to catch the Silicobra off-guard. It was only bluffing, after all. It ends up falling unconscious as a result, but Remiel does not bother stooping down to catch it.

The HIPPOWDON that emerges from the great below is not met with a shred of mercy. Its naturally aggressive nature certainly doesn't earn it any. And the SAND TOMB it attempts to drown the Garchomp in only serves to trap it with its own demise.

Finding little trouble with the whirlpool of sand she finds herself swimming in, Damkina shoots toward the hippo and delivers a powerful AERIAL ACE. The large beast topples over as a result and falls unconscious. The pair then move on without hesitation.

Damkina chases the SERVINE into an oasis nearby. They'd found it scavenging a dune nearby for bugs. Frightened and hungry, however, it unleashes a messy and poorly aimed LEAF STORM upon reaching its home.

Damkina tanks this whirlwind of leaves with a roar, then closes in with a devastating DUAL CHOP. The Servine succumbs with a single hit, and for a moment seems pleased to drift into the realm of unconsciousness. Not long afterward, Remiel appears to produce a Luxury Ball from his pack and capture the serpent.
