Attempts to bond with the robotic Pokémon were fruitless, only receiving the stare of bright blue eyes in return. This was why he'd reached out through the League to find someone who possessed a similar Pokémon, another of these Paradox creatures for Iron Bundle to interact. [break][break]

If there was one thing he knew about Pokémon, their personalities tended to come out during battle and perhaps it'd be more comfortable around it's own kind. At the Slateport Ranger HQ battling grounds Rowan awaited one Thomas Benoit, a former Elite Four member who'd responded to his call, volunteering one of his own Paradox Pokémon with which to spar. "Are you ready, Iron Bundle?" The Pokémon turned its head towards Rowan, blinked once then turned back to the empty battlefield. "Okay then..."

When the chance to help research these strange Pokemon came to his doorstep, Thomas was not going to refuse. During the events of the Ultra Sea, he had come into the possession of a strange Pokemon that resembled a robotic Gallade, with traits of Gardevoir present. Though unlike either, this Pokemon was a cold, emotionless war machine, and many attempts at sparring had gotten ugly. Thankfully, it at least yielded to instruction.

Thomas would step into the arena, the mechanical knight by his side. Thomas would stop at his place, while the Iron Valiant stepped up to their place.

Thomas recognized the man on the other side. He was in the Cloud, at Terminal One. He was there when Thomas was outed as Yveltal's former Judge. Though in the time since, Thomas had received a vertical scar on the left side of his face, a reminder of the attempt on his life in September.

"Ready when you are.", Thomas called out to the man on the other side.

There hadn't been the occasion to run across Thomas Benoit during his Team Rocket tenure, which seemed uncharacteristically fortunate considering it was one less person to despise him right away.[break][break]

"Iron Bundle, let's make things difficult." An issued command, one the Pokémon obediently followed. [break][break]

With a sudden burst of energy, the Pokémon releases a SNOWSCAPE onto the battlefield from their mechanical bundle, a layer of sparkling white snow beginning to cover the ground. [break][break]

The snow falls softly at first, but soon turns into a flurry of snowflakes, obscuring the view of the opposing Paradox Pokémon.

The snowfall would begin to consume the field. Thomas grinned as things would indeed get interesting.

"Iron Valiant, set up an Electric Terrain!", ordered the trainer.

The mechanical paladin would pound into the ground, causing the ground underneath them to surge with electricity. This would cause the Gallade's strength to increase.

Of course, Thomas would guess the Iron Bundle, given its similarity to Iron Valiant, would benefit from the Electric Terrain. The question was to what end? How would Electric Terrain effect it?
