Other than some pencils, a portable console and a leather-bound book that she nearly smacks their hands for attempting to touch, it's pretty much clear.[break][break]

The only problem that they have is the presence of her Luxray, but that's easily sorted out with a few power limiters. At some point. they must've realised her pattern of behaviour - Better to let her have someone that can keep her emotions in check than risk a whole fiasco of her going feral on someone or even attempting to run again.[break][break]

With all that settled, she's escorted down the hallways, kept under a few watchful eyes until they stop before a particular door. They don't even have time to reach out before she begins to knock on the door, her other hand reaching for the handle as she slides it right open.

They are.... okay.

Well, not really.

But the general state of Chu-e Choi is not one of misery and pain and blood. Nothing is broken. There is bruising on wrists and knees, yes, but other than general exhaustion, dehydration, and minor malnutrition they are... fine.

They're sitting up and reading a book when Eris Halla comes in. Hooked up to an IV and with bags under their eyes, yes, but there is a kind of peace about them that Eris wouldn't have seen in a very, very long time.

When they notice her, Chu-e beams and closes their book to give her their full attention.

"Errie... it's gone. It's gone, Errie." They reach for her, to take her hand.

What doesn't sit right with her is the words he speaks, contrasted only by the smile he gifts.[break][break]

"What do you mean by gone?" She moves right in, closing the door behind her with a brief glare at the guards. Then she wanders closer, taking hold of his hands whilst carefully avoiding any of the bruises about. Reiner is far more restrained, merely reaching out to place a paw on his bed.[break][break]

"What's gone? What happened?"

It's almost a whisper.

But there is a giddy look in their eyes when they say it. Chu-e is free.

The next part is harder to explain, though.

It makes their tongue stick in their mouth.

"bryan delarosa paid me a visit last night." They're carefully neutral as they say it. While mostly free from the mire that was Rocket, Chu-e still... they don't know. They still trusted Cillian Quinn. As much as they tried to act all holier than thou about Rocket, they were just as bad as Eris Halla was for holding onto those connections. For not wanting people trapped in the group to suffer.

"Him and another man I didn't know took me out to a boat. And they took Necrozma out of me." Chu-e didn't remember much after that; they had been in too much pain.

Relief attempts to wash over her but she finds herself tripping and drowning in the waves of uncertainty that follow soon after. If they could have taken it out all this time... why hadn't they? Why hadn't they tried to alleviate Chu-e Choi of his suffering? Was that because they merely saw him as a vessel to a greater power? Because they were fine with overlooking things as long as he remained on their side?[break][break]

"You're alive..."[break][break]

But at the end of the day, they hadn't killed him after taking what they wanted. hey had still delivered him back to her side - Not in the most ideal of ways but... maybe that was to make things believable? To make sure that the League wouldn't hurt him further or accuse him of conspiring with Rocket?[break][break]

"How? Wasn't the League supposed to protect you?" She squeezes his hand gently. "How did they get Necrozma out of you?"
