The curtain was raising, and it was time for them to get this show on the road.[break][break] "Break a tailfin!"[break][break] The curtains parted. The crowd erupted into cheers. Isaac took his pirate had from his head, giving the crowd a bright and enthusiastic wave with it. "Ahoy, everyone!" he called, the crowd enthusiastically calling back with an ahoy of their own. "That cold snap's gone, and the Hoenn we know and love is back! You all been missing that sunshine as much as I did?"[break][break] To Isaac and Summer, Kyurem's emergence was one of the dozens of aberrations that had hit the region over the last few years. To the children who attended mermaid shows, less involved in the region's power struggles and alive for far less time, the cold snap had been the harshest winter and coolest spring they'd ever experience. They cheered excitedly in response.[break][break] "Now that's what I like to hear! Start checking off those calendars, 'cause summer's right around the corner." Even in a region as warm and coastal as Hoenn, everyone looked forward to a kid's favorite season. "But until then? Well, we're just gonna have to take the sun, the sand, and the surf and bring it right to you!"[break][break] Isaac fired a last wave off to the crowd, then dove from the stage with a flourish. As he trailed down the waters in a graceful dive, Wishiwashi trailed after him, parting two by two as if emphasizing the rippling currents left in his wake. Once he reached his lowest point, he motioned for Summer to dive on down. It was time for their swimming to start getting synchronized.
