With a hop and a skip, Eris hums a quiet tune as she allows her gaze to wander the streets, her hands giving Reiner's shoulder the good old shake when she wishes to point something interesting out.[break][break]

And what a noticeable contrast it is to her attitude in the therapy room just moments prior. The silence she had so religiously upheld in that room had been dotted with fidgeting, her eyes clearly trailing towards the door whenever not addressed or held within the therapist's gaze. Any questions posed had been met with a blank stare, where not even prompting from Paxton himself had drawn an answer out of her. Eventually, when prodded for long enough then presented with objects to interact with, she had settled for a pencil and some paper to doodle upon while the adults talked.[break][break]

A step taken but in which direction, no one knew.[break][break]

For now, she does well to leave such things behind, smiling and giggling as she whispers things to Reiner.

Despite the clear skies, its still chilly. It's so weird Hoenn still followed seasons somewhat with all the strange anomalies happening. Thanks Kyurem, he supposed. He was eager to hit Spring through, ready to shed his layers. The chill bites a bit at his nose, but the walking helps, especially when keeping up with Eris. [break][break]

You can't build a city in a day. That's what the therapist had told him. There's a difference between choosing to go to counsel, and then being brought to it. He shouldn't be so worried about the first session. [break][break]

But he is. It bothers him how quickly Eris can swap between one and the other. But it's not like he knew what was going on anyway. But if he couldn't help her bridge that gap, if he couldn't go back to knowing what she wanted and what she needed again... was he really helping her? Was he able to? [break][break]

At least she didn't jump anybody. That's always a plus, even if there's no real danger. Well-...maybe...if she bit someone. She was older now though. Not a worry. [break][break]

"I know it's kind of chilly, but, you still feelin' Coldstone?" he asked as he gauged how far they were and where exactly they were. He'd promised her a day out after all. He wasn't about to just dump her back in her temporary home.

"Not too far, just past that stoplight." he said before inhaling deeply. "Can you smell it? The baking waffle cones?" he asked as he nodded in the direction before looking down at the girl and cat duo. "The usual." he assured her as they crossed the street and began to line up. [break][break]

"The strawberry thing is untouched." he announced for her, as if she were still too short to see the glass. She was still short, yes, but at least not tippy toes to look at ice cream short. "I think I want cookies and cream." he added, mostly to himself. "And you, Reiner?? Will a pup cup suffice?"
