The moment you were about to leave your house, the world seemed to wrap in place, the sensation of the ground shifting underneath your shoes, the air itself twisting and resettling and all sounds of the hustle and bustle of life dying out into an echo of itself. It was only for a moment, enough to make you think that perhaps it was in your head, until the moment you took a step across that threshold and stepped into nothingness.

[break][break]The fall was short-lived, once your feet landed on some semblance of ground an overwhelming weight forced you onto your back, gluing you to the ground. A long and silent moment passed before you come to feel the world around you. It wasn't that something was pulling you back but instead it was almost as if you were wearing something heavy and while your back was on something cold and hard, the back of your head was on something the complete opposite.

[break][break]Further as you settled into your body did more sensations return, the air cold and wet, caring both the smell of a damp forest and the sound of soft somber humming. A tender sensation of something brushing against your cheek, and brushing through your hair could only lead you believe that they were the hands of the voice, gently holding your head in place. But the most important discovery wasn't that the world was empty, but that your eyes were still closed.

Opting to go with a small peek first, the first and far most thing you'll come to notice was the lightning, specifically how much light was getting absorbed by the leaves up ahead of this dense forest. Still despite this even without any extra sources of light it was bright enough for one to navigate without too much harm, the next and arguably the most important piece of information was that you were currently laying within the lap of another.
