After splitting up from Keenan he would do a bit of shopping to get a change of clothes sense he planned on getting freshened up. And the thought of wearing the same clothes that he’d worn for the better part of a day after getting a shower made him cringe. So he would take a shower put on a change of clothes before meeting up with the other teen.

He would be the first to reach the Pokémon center even after spending longer than he had intended getting a shower and changing clothes. His current out fit was a white t-shirt of a pair of black jean shorts and to tie it together was a pale green short-sleeve jacket with a pair of black sandals. It was an outfit that would keep him from getting too hot.

Since he hadn’t been keeping up with the time he wouldn’t have realized that the other teen was late if he hadn’t said anything. ”Don’t worry about it, I’m just glad you got here okay,” he reassured the other male. Not wanting him to beat himself up over running a bit let.

To his relief the other teen had already checked out some options for them to eat at. He considered all the options before coming to a decision. ”Grumpy's BBQ Pit sounds good. It’s sweet that you took into consideration what I couldn’t eat,” he said giving the older ten a warm smile. At least he wouldn’t have to worry about him forgetting about his coconut allergy. Which was a bit of a weird allergy to have. But couldn’t exactly help the fact he was allergic to it.

As they made their way to the restaurant he kept close to the other male. Worried what would happen if they got separated considering he didn’t know his way around Dewford like he did Lilycove. A few times he worried he was crowding the older teen and he would ask if he was as they made their way to the restaurant.

To his surprise and relief it was discovered upon reaching the restaurant that they had a braille menu. So he wouldn’t have to rely on the other teen to tell him what they had. He didn’t really like having to rely on others. Even if he knew it was unavoidable at times.

Hearing his compliment he couldn’t help but blush. ”Thanks, it’s actually a new outfit. Had a bit of help figuring out what color everything was,” he admitted as he looked down at the menu. There were a lot of things that looked good. Though he didn’t want anything too messy. So ribs were out.

”Have any idea what you’re getting?” he asked curiously before continuing. ”I was thinking of getting the pulled pork sandwich. It comes with fries and baked beans. I wonder if they’ll put the baked beans on the side if I ask I don’t like it when my food mixes,” he explained looking a bit embarrassed about that.[break] Keenan Toral

”I want to look presentable. Just because I can’t see anymore doesn’t mean I should slack in that department. I’ll never be the type to be follow fashion wasn’t before. But I at least tried to look like I knew how to look presentable,” he explained to the other teen. And considering he owned a business he had to be able to present himself a certain way. No one would support a boss that came off looking like a slob.

Hopefully Keenan was right. To his relief when he asked to have the baked beans put on the side the agreed to do. Now he wouldn’t have to worry about the juice from the baked beans making his bun soggy. Or making his fries soggy. Both of which he preferred to be dry.

Colors wasn’t something he had ever given much thought. It made him think to when he still could see. ”I remember really liking red. Remember liking the color of my hair,” he said at last his expression though. ”What about you?” he asked his expression now curious.

Taking about colors had made reminded him of something else. A question that had been on his mind. He was a bit uncomfortable asking but his need to know was starting to overpower his discomfort. ”Ummm…” he shifted uncomfortably before gathering even more courage to ask the question. ”Whatdoyoulooklike?” he rushed out probably speaking to quickly for the other teen to understand what he had just said.[break] Keenan Toral

Hearing his praise he couldn’t help but blush in embarrassment. He hadn’t ever heard of his hairstyle being seen that way. Of someone thinking his hairstyle was adorable. It seemed like the other male had an endless list of compliments for him. He wished he could say the same about him, but without knowing what he looked like that was hard.

”Thanks, my friend use to tease that it made me look emo,” he said with a small chuckle. Though he supposed back when that had been said it kind of had been. He had been down in the dumps. Though that had been not too long after he had lost his vision when he was still properly dealing with the death of his sister. Though he had gotten better about he just hadn’t seen the point of changing his hairstyle. And maybe if that was the way Keenan felt about it, then maybe he had made the right decision.

Talking about his looks caused him to have a burning need to know what the other teen looked like. Luckily he had understood his rapid fire question, since he wasn’t sure he would have the courage to repeat the question. He let the other teen guide his hand along his face and hair as he listened to what the other male had to say in regards to his own appearance.

While this was happening his sharper hearing picked up what their waitress was saying to another person. Well what she was gushing. This made his face heat up especially when he felt their eyes on them. ”Your hair is really soft,” he said once he had his hand back.

”And I wouldn’t mind hugging you to finish feeling how you look just…” he trailed off fighting the urge to not turn his head in the direction of their waitress, since it would indicate they were talking about her. ”Just maybe not in front of the gossip mongers,” he said making sure to pitch his voice low enough that only Keenan would hear.

Who knows what kind of things they would tell people. If people thought they were boyfriends that wouldn’t be bad. Except that that wasn’t a talk he had had with his family yet. That he was gay. Probably should tell them that before they heard people claiming he was gay.[break] Keenan Toral

To be honest he figured his friend kind of had a ride of call him an emo back than. He had taken to moping around after he lost his sister and his eyesight. He didn’t like to think he had been emo back then though. His heart had just been heavy with grief back then.

Still it was nice to hear that Keenan wouldn’t have minded if he was emo. He even went so far as to compliment him again. Which of course made his face heat up a bit. Compliments wasn’t something he was real use to. His parents had meant well but they had never been the type to give out compliments. His aunt and her family complimented him sometimes, and it still left him flustered.

”Thanks it’s good to know that you wouldn’t mind if I was emo,” he said once he had regained his composure. Considering he was blind he of course didn’t know the affect his own compliment had on the other teen.

Hearing what he had to say he nodded. ”Don’t worry I will,” he promised. He wasn’t the type to just allow himself to be uncomfortable. He had never been a pushover. And he wasn’t about to start. So if he was being made uncomfortable he would definitely tell Keenan.

The food arrived and to his relief both of their orders were correct. He was a bit surprised that she told him where everything was but thanked her before taking a bite of his baked beans. As the other male asked his question he waited for her response, unable to help being curious.

He waited until he had swallowed his bite of food as well. ”I wasn’t born blind either. It’s interesting that another blind person would be in the restaurant business. I own my own restaurant but my aunt deals with most of the paperwork while I deal with everything else. I’m a chef as well,” he told the waitress before returning his attention to Keenan.

”I like eating at other restaurants to show my support to fellow business owners in the same line of work as I am. Unless it’s for Pokémon battles I’m not real big on competition. I feel it would just be stressful as well,” he explained. He wasn’t sure if it was something the other teen was curious about but he wanted it that that he would never see another restaurant as competition.

Part of it was just because of the kind of person he was. He had always been a compassionate person and that it hard for him to be the competitive type about certain things.[break] Keenan Toral

Though he couldn’t see the waitresses surprise he could hear it in her voice. It was only after the waitresses had left that he would further explain things to him. Not that he minded if the waitress knew. He just knew that she had a job to do and he didn’t want to keep her for too long.

Listening to what he had to say he nodded. ”True and sometimes after cooking all day for others I don’t have the energy to cook something for myself. So sometimes it’s just easier to go somewhere and eat,” he told the other teen. During those times it was other go out to eat or have his aunt cook him up something.

Of course there were times like this where he just wanted to support a restaurant. Though restaurants weren’t the only places he would support. There were times where he would be a sponsor to some event or someone else’s business. And he was even considering the possibility of catering to parties and other events that might require food to be catered.

”I have considered it,” he admitted before continuing. ”The only thing holding me back is finding a time when I can do it. Typically on my day off I use the day to restock on supplies. But I could always have someone else do that,” he said his expression thoughtful.

”Some people are more skilled when it comes to battling. I was pretty good and actually has six badges from the gym circuit back in Unova. But if I could find a way around my schedule I wouldn’t mind collecting badges in Hoenn.”[break] Keenan Toral

Don’t get him wrong he loved cooking. But sometimes after cooking at day for strangers he was just wasn’t in the mood to do it for himself. ”Usually on days I don’t feel like cooking and I don’t feel like going out my aunt when bring something over that she cooked,” he told the other teen. He did enjoy his aunt’s cooking, so it was often something to look forwards to.

He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck as he called it like it was. Shin knew that he had a tendency to be a workaholic. But to have it pointed out by someone not in his family was kind of embarrassing. It was something that often came up when he was talking to his aunt. And it was because of her that he even had the restaurant closed once a week. If it wasn’t for his aunt he would be working each and every day.

”I suppose I could do that. Would beat another lecture from my aunt about me working to hard. I’ll see about talking with the staff about having a bit more free time,” he promised, though someone would probably have to make sure he actually did that. He often forgot about stuff that could lead to him having more free time, due to his workaholic nature.

Now that that was cleared up he could get on with the whole badge thing. It was actually a little surprising that he would want to see his badges from Unova but he didn’t see a problem with it. ”I’m fine showing you, I’ll just have to unpack them from a box in the attic. I haven’t had much time to unpack everything since moving out of my aunts house a year ago,” he admitted.[break] Keenan Toral
