She had worried, why did this girl have such a powerful pokemon? How did @navy know her? "You're totally lying aren't you?!" she exclaims as she cant afford to get distracted, during that moment where she lost focus the pokemon managed to get a dragon tail attack in and push Meloetta back and as a result, Meloetta is swapped out with someone else from Melody's current party. Melody rushes over to the girl's side and grabs the pokeball that she pointed out and immediately tries to recall it into it's pokeball.

The dragon's tail breaks like a tsunami, rushing forth with all the momentum of the sea. She rushes toward Melody, light collecting at the tip of her snout, ready to unleash a point-blank beam before she can muster a resistance. [break][break]

A flash of light- [break][break]

And suddenly, the waves are calm, the danger abated before anyone else could be hurt. Tsubaki gazes down at the orb in Melody's hand with remorse, feeling for her dragon's rage. All she longed for was to melt this unjust world to nothing. Was that not still the dream Tsubaki held in her heart? A reason to fight for what she believes, against all the unfair things in this world.[break][break]

A world that would arrest a child isn't worth fighting for, is it?[break][break]

I can't blame you, Shion. I'm sorry.[break][break]

Tsubaki had been the one to betray her, her pokemon's outrage entirely justified.[break][break]

With a quiet, monotone voice she orders Melody around, keeping her dignity about her while she holds out her hands. [break][break]

She breaths a sigh of relief, the seas had calmed and the threat had been quelled. Yet she still felt uneasy as a pit in her stomach began to form. [break][break]

She stares at the girl who held her hands out, surrendering herself to Melody. She said his name again, confirming it wasn't just her mishearing the girl... "No." she says "You wont be going to jail, no one died from your pokemon." she says as she looked on at the men floating in the water, her primarina navigating to secure them all safely onto her boat. [break][break]

"HOWEVER." she says as she quickly tries to correct herself that she wasn't off scott free. "Because you know Navy and he doesn't like people who are evil. I'll forgive you this once, only if you agree to do this one thing." she offers as Melody holds the girl's pokeball out of grasp. [break][break]

"Volunteer at H.O.M.E foundation for the next year and this remains our secret." she says as she felt like this girl wasn't a bad person but someone who's needed good influences in her life. "Or. you can say no and instead we take you to jail and you get your call instead. What will you pick?"

"You drive a hard bargain, superstar."[break][break]

A sarcastic response finally punctuates the silence. [break][break]

There's some resentment there, in the fact she's being blackmailed to do essentially what she's already been doing, aiding Navy in his efforts with H.O.M.E. back on Dewford. In a sense, this is a get out of jail free card, something extended to her only because she knows the right person.[break][break]

The pirates won't get that lenience. [break][break]

If she weren't so fortunate, Melody wouldn't hesitate to lock her up. She's painfully aware of that fact. [break][break]

"I'll do whatever you want. You've got all the power in the world, remember?"[break][break]

What comes with all that authority at the end of the day is the capacity to abuse it. This isn't anything new, but it's a harsh reminder of the kinds of people she's put her lot in with. Do what we say or go to jail. It isn't much different from Rocket, always with the attitude of do what we say or die. [break][break]

Either way, even if your loyalty lies with them, you'll pay the price for coming into contact with the brass. [break][break]

"You're right! I do!" she says with a grin as old melody resurfaces, he bright smile lighting up the seas around them. "But I'll use that power to better those around me into better people. You might learn a thing or two about raising pokemon by helping them. If not-" she says as melody just shrugs. [break][break]

"Then I tried what I could." she says as Melody kind of shrugs, she was 100000% talking to Navy about this girl after all. "Alright, we can, but we're gonna have a long talk about pokemon rearing." she says as melody suddenly finds herself feeling like an older sister to the girl, one that spurred a sense of nostalgia for some reason, but she couldn't exactly put her finger on why. Story of her life wasn't it? Forgetting the most important things to her. as a single tear drop falls down her face suddenly despite the fact she wasn't sad, she blamed it on the sea spray getting in her eye.
