Okay. Picture this. What do women like? Jewelry. Pretty simple. New phenomenon is going on lately. Tera shit. Okay, easy enough. That's like, crystallizing with hats. But shards, those can be broken down, right? And so, Magnus had the idea to go get them, but how does one know what color is liked most? Sure, there's the color Magnus WANTED to get. But what of the woman?[break][break]

So how does one lie about true intentions, without making things suspicious?[break][break]

"Baby." Magnus would slide towards her like sliding into DMs. "Ever see the Meteor Falls?"[break][break]

Place is beautiful. Yeah. It's gorgeous. It's everything Maggie wanted, everything and more. But lo and behold, he wanted to find jewels. And in his head, in this moment, he imagined these Tera jewels would make some money too. Not that they were in desperate need. But it would be a nice little benefit.[break][break]

"Alright, just gotta find the Glimmora..." Magnus is looking, eyes peeled, for the blue. Next to him, Jo-Jo is running along to assist. He came today, for Jasmine protection.[break][break]

Not that he believed she needed it. But never could be too careful in these parts...

Jasmine was surprised that Jack Magnus wanted to take her to Meteor Falls. Hell, she didn't really know why he'd want to bring her there. But, she didn't refuse when he asked if she wanted to go. It was a new place to explore.[break][break]

And Jasmine loved to explore.[break][break]

So as they wandered up, she let out a noise of excitement as her eyes traveled around. "This is really cool. What are we trying to find, Maggie?" she asked.[break][break]

He mentioned a GLIMMORA. Stroking the feathers down on her ROARING MOON, who had flown them there, she tilted her head.[break][break]

Little Jo-Jo with the cowboy hat looks around, curiosity taking the little Riolu and he turns, as he sways, as he moves to and frou. The little cowboy hat was something Magnus had given him, and the little Riolu loved it.[break][break]

When Jasmine asks what they were finding, and further responds with shards, he nods. "Uh... yeah. Shards. Been hearin' about these spots all in the caves of Hoenn, opening up with Tera shards. Figured, we might as well dive in." It wasn't the full truth, but he also didn't want to just tell Jasmine he intended to find something nice for her. He looks off to the distance. Little Glimmora flying and floating about...[break][break]

"Bingo." Maggie is smirking. He takes Jasmine's hand, and looks down at her. "Come on, baby. Let's go."[break][break]

Real talk. He wanted to make little earrings for her. Well, commission them. He doesn't know the first thing about makin' jewelry, but if he can get two green shards that match her eyes? That'd be perfect. But it had to be a surprise.[break][break]

His women got gifts.[break][break]

Little Jo-Jo leads the charge, running with both paws behind him, as he sees a small cave opening not too far away. Poking his head in, the little Riolu's jaw drops. Big whoa moment.[break][break]

Resplendence. With danger just waiting in the wings for them...

Jasmine felt him take her hand, taking her ahead to the entrance of the cave. She couldn't help but giggle, following closely behind as she recalled WISTERIA since its size wouldn't allow it to fit inside so easily.[break][break]

"Don't tear my arm off, Maggie!" she teased, her voice echoing the further they went in.[break][break]

However, even though it was dark at first, it lit up soon enough. It was a beautiful site, full of different rocks and things that Jazz had never seen before.[break][break]

"Wow. This is... amazing."[break][break]

She was speechless.

He was smiling a little too wide, a little too much, but as he takes her into the cave, little Jo-Jo finds something peculiar. The crystals are all about, and it leads Magnus into whistling out. The different Tera rock formations would light up the cave. It was dark, but illuminated slightly of a variety of colors.[break][break]

When Jazz makes a note of it, his first instinct is to tell her that, yeah, it was, but she was more so. But he holds the flirting back, a little in awe.[break][break]

"Alright... what color do you like most, Jazzy?" he asks, still holding onto Jasmine's hand. Letting her take the glows, the colors, the beautiful lights all about, all while the terror awaited them...[break][break]

Two big tusks, waiting in darkness, and ready to go...

Jasmine was stunned, almost unable to speak due to the grandeur of the cave. While it was still a bit dark, the stones were able to illuminate colors of the rainbow around them.[break][break]

In truthfulness, she wanted to touch each one of them.[break][break]

Jack Magnus's voice brought her out of her trance, causing her to look away and up at him. "Huh?" she asked, almost dumbfounded.[break][break]

Why did he want her opinion on the colors?[break][break]

"I guess... if I had to choose one color, maybe these yellow-golden ones," she said, reaching out to touch one.

It's unbelievable how beautiful the rainbow is. There are some colors more prominent than others. Lots of greens and yellows, some blues, though hardly any reds, violets, or purples. Even so, Magnus turns his head, and sees her again.[break][break]

It's cold in here.[break][break]

Jazz, dumbfounded, just a moment has Magnus hold onto her, and he smirks. He knows he's disarmed her, and he raises a brow... and the tables turn when she says gold, yellowish. And his eyes meet her own. He lets go of her hand, and instead, takes a breath in.[break][break]

"Let's get a few extra then." His voice is soft, and with arrogance set at the wayside, now more gentle. His hands place over her shoulders the familiar white jacket he often wore, to keep her warm, as he turns his gaze towards the one that caught his eyes.[break][break]

The vibrant emerald green ones. Or the few scarlet red ones he did see here or there.[break][break]

And he wouldn't say it aloud, but it reminded him of someone's eyes. He would never say what though. But he knew why. It isn't hard to figure out Magnus' motives, but that's also his biggest strength in some ways. Despite how much he fucked around and subsequently found out, he was fiercely loyal.[break][break]

However...[break][break]

Before either of them could really make anything of it, a massive tremor pulses out from the cave, with cave rocks shaking, and with it came the massive tusked beast. They were big, over eight feet tall, and their weight was close to a ton, but their massive tusks had a dried layer of blood on them, and bits of cloth. The beast took notice to both Orthrus members, the tiny cowboy-hatted Riolu, and the massive ancient dragon that sat near Jasmine.[break][break]

And the massive beast trumpets out an intimidating roar, charging the group with a BULLDOZE and attempting to run them down, Jo-Jo diving below the legs to come out the other side.[break][break]

Magnus turns to Jasmine and smirks ear-to-ear. Now he's getting cocky.[break][break]

"Shall we dance, baby?"[break][break]

If given the chance, pulling her to him, and making a great leap away, he would stare at the beast. Massive, even more so than him. Damn big beast this thing.[break][break]

Oh well. Picked the wrong duo to contend with.[break][break]

When their eyes meet again, Jasmine connected a few dots between the tera shards they found and him. When she revealed the color she preferred, she didn't realize that they matched the color of his eyes to the deepest shade of gold.[break][break]

It truly took her breath away for a moment, her cheeks growing pinker. She'd blame the cold nipping at her skin.[break][break]

Her hand was cold as his own left hers, though his jacket was placed on her shoulders. Blinking quickly, Jazz spoke. "I-I don't need it! You're going to get sick!" she began to object, noting his black, short-sleeved shirt.[break][break]

Though as he turned to harvest a few shards, she'd bury herself in the warmth of the jacket and take in the familiar scent that was distinctly Magnus.[break][break]

Jasmine tore herself from her thoughts, stepping forward and joining his side to collect the shards with him. Greens, reds, yellows, and a few blues and purples. It was a rainbow of crystals, and she wanted to take as many as she could. They could bring a nice little profit to ORTHRUS, and maybe they could use some of that money for OLYMPUS as well.[break][break]

Her thought with the potential jobs that could be done distracted her from the quiver in the water. Only when the ground shook did Jasmine look up with alarm, stuffing the shards that had be harvested into the pockets of Magnus's oversized jacket and standing behind him.[break][break]

"What was-"[break][break]

Wisteria let out a low growl, its feathered body ruffling in hostility as the GREAT TUSK revealed itself to the pair and their Pokemon. The ROARING MOON stepped forward, roaring lowly to protect its trainer... and, begrudgingly, the gang leader.[break][break]

The BULLDOZE came quickly, and Jasmine gave Magnus a look that matched her words. "Is now the time for dancing?" she said, though she took ahold of him as he leapt aside with her in his arms. Her heart hammered in her chest as the beast made way for her dragon.[break][break]

Wisteria took in a breath before countering the beast with a ZEN HEADBUTT, taking a brunt of the force while attacking.

Well. Fuck.[break][break]

As Magnus was able to get Jazz out of the way, the BULLDOZE charges ahead, and slams right into Wisteria's ZEN HEADBUTT, a clash that sends a shockwave through the whole cave area. They seemed to be fairly even in power, and as both sides slammed head-to-head, the Great Tusk is thrusted backwards, and trumpets a war cry. The elephant beast prepares again, foot moving the dirt beneath it. The dragon its first victim, and it would claim victory.[break][break]

Magnus, holding onto Jasmine now, would get a moment to respond with a coo, enjoying the feeling of her in his arms. "With you? Maybe. I like some dirty dancing, but I think Tusky here is taking the dirt a little too literally." He's smirking, ear-to-ear, and looks behind the big elephant beast.[break][break]

Jo-Jo is charging up, powering himself up with a charged VACUUM WAVE, light blue wind coalescing around the Riolu, as it prepares to fire off, leaping into the air, blasting it out, only for the Great Tusk to immediately change target's, whipping around with the tusks to slap the Riolu out of the air with a MEGAHORN, only to spin back to be facing back to Wisteria.[break][break]

And Magnus' brow furrows, as he watches Jo-Jo slam hard into the rock wall, his hat knocked off his head. The cowboy was not particularly strong, but brave. Bloodied and bruised, the Riolu gets to his feet, shaky. Magnus' worry is plain on his face.[break][break]

Good thing he brought another, just in case.[break][break]

And the Great Tusk smirks at its counterpart before itself in Wisteria, and prepares to charge them too.[break][break]

"Alright. You got the bigger power. You lead, I'll follow." Just for now, letting her down, and letting her take the lead here.[break][break]

This was gonna get messy.[break][break]

Jasmine shielded her face as the two clashed, some debris flying around them as her ROARING MOON clashed with GREAT TUSK. She buried her face into his chest until the wind subsided, seeing her dragon shaking its head to shake off the disorientation from clashing.[break][break]

"How did that not work? Isn't psychic stronger against its typing?" she thought out loud.[break][break]

Her worry was momentarily caught off guard by Jack Magnus's comment, her hand slapping against his chest. "We can do that later, if we make it out alive," she said with a serious look.[break][break]

ARCEUS, she hoped that they made it out alive. Or, if anything, at least Magnus did.[break][break]

And poor Jo-Jo was flung back by the MEGAHORN, causing her to gasp. Looking over at him, she furrowed her brow.[break][break]

"What do you mean, I'm in charge? I wish you all would stop putting me in charge!" Because she remembered the time Keira Torres made her take charge after being poisoned by a SEVIPER.[break][break]

"Wisteria, DRAGON RUSH!" she called out, dragging Magnus away from a potential attack from the GREAT TUSK.

Jasmine seemed as confused as Magnus, and judging from the way his gaze kept shooting from Great Tusk to Wisteria, it was clear this Great Tusk was doing something different. Why wasn't it going down easy? He ponders this...[break][break]

Slapping him out of his thoughts, he gives Jazz a reassured look. "Don't worry. We will." No chance for a scenario where they don't. No chance, no way. The fact of the matter was, even if it bloodied him, he would get Jasmine out alive, and live to tomorrow. No sacrifice bullshit, none of that.[break][break]

But where do they go from here?[break][break]

Jasmine didn't want to be in charge, and Magnus understood why. "No time to argue, Jazz. That's an order from your boss." Confidence was worn on his sleeve with ease, a smug look on his face. He was in control. He had no intention of letting her lead alone. But power recognized power, and Jo-Jo hadn't had it. Yet.[break][break]

She pulls him from a BRICK BREAK meant for Magnus' skull, as Wisteria came in with the DRAGON RUSH to smash into the tusked boar's side, but Magnus had an ace.[break][break]

"Jo-Jo. Back at him. Counter." With a flash of the little Riolu's red eyes, with shaking awesome power, he wipes away some blood with a paw. The little Riolu speeds up to the other side, and hits with the same force he was dealt, bloodshot eyes as he quickly closes the distance. Between Wisteria and Jo-Jo, the elephant beast was lookin' rough. But still standing in full... it seemed to be made of sturdy stuff, but weakened greatly now. With some fancy footwork, the Riolu continued to dance in place, and Magnus smirks.[break][break]

"You're pushing it back, keep at it."[break][break]

The elephant comes in with a very angered HEAD SMASH, to tell this Roaring Moon what for.[break][break]

Magnus seemed confident that they'd make it out alive. Jasmine, on the other hand, wasn't so sure herself. Fighting a Pokemon like GREAT TUSK, which was still relatively unknown and dangerous, complicated their entire affair. She knew first hand how unpredictable the paradox Pokemon could be.[break][break]

The scars on her body from Wisteria were an aching reminder of that.[break][break]

So, she decided in a split second, if it were going to come to one of them perishing in this cave, she would take the fall. ORTHRUS needed their leader. She was terminable. Jack Magnus was not. "Jack..." she murmured softly, her eyes conveying doubt and concern.[break][break]

Reaching up, she grabbed his face, pulling him down and kissing him firmly. It was quick, chaste, and the moment she let him go, Jazz focused back on the fight. "Okay, Boss. Then I want you to stay back and make sure Jo-Jo is protected at all cost. I'll make sure Wisteria takes the punches."[break][break]

Jasmine left no room for argument, stepping forward to command her dragon. There was a sudden air of power and command that she typically didn't have.[break][break]

The elephant-type Pokemon charged for Wisteria, hitting her with the powerful HEAD SMASH. The ROARING MOON cried out in pain, its cry echoing in the tunnel.[break][break]

"ROOST! Then go for the throat!"

She murmurs. And as she grabs his face, as she says his name, his first name... the name said only when things are serious, his golden eyes shrink, as he is about to pull her back. But she kisses him. It's fast. It's pure, and more a moment, he's staring.[break][break]

Then she's off. She steps forward to control Wisteria, and his heart sinks. He clinches his fist. And he tries to yell for her. But he cannot. Because he knows why.[break][break]

With a nod, he respects Jasmine's resolve, and takes a step to protect Jo-Jo. The Riolu is crying out himself, able to still move, but fumbling. The little Riolu was gripping at the ground, beating his fists into the ground. He wanted to be more.[break][break]

"She's protecting you too, Jo-Jo." The Riolu looks towards Magnus, eyes filled with tears, nostrils dripping snot. "Let her fight. She's made of tougher stuff."[break][break]

And so.[break][break]

With the HEAD SMASH slamming into Wisteria, the Roosting ancient dragon would recover HP, as the Great Tusk comes in with the slapping MEGAHORN to slam into the Roaring Moon, going both for Jasmine and the dragon, intent to take both out at once.[break][break]

Magnus stands tall.[break][break]

"You got this, Jazzy."[break][break]

Jo-Jo begins to glow. He wouldn't let this happen.[break][break]

Jasmine knew Wisteria wasn't going to last a long fight alone. Even with a move that could help it heal, the ROARING MOON had never faced an opponent as tough as the GREAT TUSK before.[break][break]

She was quick to climb a top the dragon, settling comfortably between its wings. Her Pokemon seemed to ease, taking the MEGAHORN full force. Jazz held tightly, squeezing her eyes shut as the cave shook from the ramming motion.[break][break]

Wisteria rose to its hind legs in a cry of outrage and pain, still ROOSTING and recovering. But now, it had time to build up power to attack.[break][break]

It unleashed its force, aiming for its opponent's throat with a THROAT CHOP.[break][break]

But the cave was growing too unstable. Rocks began to crack from the ceiling, raining down on the group below.[break][break]

"Magnus, you and Jo-Jo get out of here. Now!" Jazz ordered, Wisteria's wings rushing upward in a guarding motion. "Before it's too late. Go!"
