Another day, another tour at the Safari zone.

Johanna walked with eager steps and a smile upon her face, through the forest of the Safari Zone. No Pokemon by her side for now.

Her gaze wandered, enjoying the scenery while also keeping a look out for any Pokémon that might jump on her path. She was certain they would, it was only a matter of time after all.

As Johanna walked ever onward, the sound of gently running water caught her attention. She walked closer, and noticed a group of Schooling Wishiwashi having the time of their life in their own little stream.

She decided not to disturb them and moved on. After all, she wouldn’t be a particularly nice individual if she ended their fun prematurely, would she?

Johanna continued on her little tour of the Safari Zone. She followed the trailing water until she stumbled upon a Black and white Zigzagoon busy slurping from the stream.

The moment it saw her it forgot what it was doing and growled at her, taunting her, challenging her to battle. Johanna realized she could do naught but submit to this challenge, and so summoned her fighter.

A ghastly Sandcastle took to the field. Pallosand didn’t wait for any orders, instead it charged at the Zigzagoon, it’s sand spreading to dodge what physical attacks was thrown at it until it wrapped itself around the lowly creature.

The Zigzagoon yielded knowing it could not defeat this foe.

With the captured Galarian Zigzagoon secured in its SafariBall, Johanna continued on. Pallosand didn’t mind following along as its trainer followed the water.

But the presence of the sandy ghost scared away the Clamperls that had peeked up from the water out of curiosity.

A bit disheartened by that, Johanna decided to place the Pallosand back into its Pokéball and continue onward.

It seemed the stream flowed ever on. Attracting a variety of Pokémon along its gentle path.

Johanna saw several Ledyba flying about having fun and playing with each other. But one of them seemed to be rattled by its friends.

But as Johanna looked it seemed the others were less friends and more like bullies. The Ledyba Rattled Ledyba, noticed her, and sought safety behind her back.

Johanna didn’t mind. She allowed the Bug/Flying type to cower behind her back as she stared down the others that had been on their way to follow it only to halt at the prospect of its new protector.

The other Ledyba turned around leaving the cowering one with Johanna. Finally alone she would offer a Safari Ball to it, and after a thought or two it would nudge itself against it.

With a new friendly bug safely stored away, Johanna would continue onward with her path. A bit of walking there, a short break, and then some more walking was all it took before she stood before another Pokemon.

The Elekid was sitting on the ground looking at the trailing stream of water, sulking for reasons unknown to Johanna.

For a moment she considered moving on. But decided to ask the Elekid what troubled it. The Pokemon was all too eager to explain the situation in its own way.

Johanna wasn’t quite sure she got it. But decided to offer the Elekid some treats which seemed to be enough. And when she tried to leave the now contend Elekid, she found herself being followed by it.

Three captures and what felt like a really long walk later Johanna finally found her quarry.

The Charcadet stood before her. It’s red hot body flaming with fighting spirit. It looked at the prospecting trainer judging her as much as she took stock of it.

For a moment they both stood there locked in mental combat. Neither budging an inch. As if bound by destiny they came to an understanding without saying a single word.

Johanna offered the Safari ball to the Charcadet. And it was accepted.
